Head Gatherer

Emerald is the head gatherer of the clan, and resides in Hibiscus Village. He is a kind dragon, and an avid collector of trinkets. He has one child, Ivory. It is the head gatherer's role to provide food and sustenance to the dragons of the clan, as well as to train the other gatherers. His knife was given to him by Viridis when he was a child, so he could better defend himself. Unlike Aurelia, he can only speak Coatl, making it hard to communicate with his clanmates.

Emerald's always had a hard time with spoken languages, even his own, from a very young age. It wasn't that he couldn't understand the words spoken; he could understand them well enough, but speaking in any tongue was... hard, to say the least; It took him quite a while just to be able to be understood in the tongue of Coatls, and any other languages were just out. Due to Emerald's communication difficulties, he's taught himself to use SSL (Sornieth Sign Language) and always keeps a journal and writing utensil on hand; he may not be able to speak with others generally and honestly prefers not to, due to how difficult it is, but he can certainly write in the common language of Sornieth, and most others accept that well enough.

Emerald's Masked Fox, Shatter, is one of his best friends. She is from a marsh hidden away in the Gladekeeper's territory, and Emerald caught and befriended her after he set a trap in the murky waters. Shatter's mask is made of glass, and she is very careful not to break it.
