B I O G R A P H Y

Folleto is a rather sad fae. Abandoned by his father and being raised as the only living child, his mother has left a number on him. He's very insecure and quiet, not willing to speak out of turn. Because of this he can't fend for himself and tends to let strangers get the better of him. And with his mother's unhealthy obsession towards him, despite him being a grown dragon, he is rarely given any privacy nor a chance to experience life himself - as his mother's paranoid thinking fears him getting hurt from any minor thing.

He is a pretty famous dancer, making a name for himself in a way he never anticipated. However, he is constantly belittled and scorned by his dance partner Linterna for being a boy (a result of her projecting), always complaining how sloppy his moves were and implying he will never be elegant solely due to his gender rather than skill. He had since learned to ignore her snappy remarks, but even so, he still feels guilty whenever he messed up and truly believes it's because of him simply not being good enough. To many others surprisingly, he is known as a better dancer than Linterna - and if he ever became confident enough in his own ability, Linterna would have to face that fact. He began dancing only because his mother believed it was the safest choice for him. And so, he had no choice but to cooperate with the judgmental fae in order not to be on his mother's bad side.

He'd aspire to become one of the Nightwatchers - if he had his way for once. Since he has always held huge fascination with space and the night sky, and would privately busy himself with scrolls and books about astrology. Sadly, this will never happen because; one, his father, who resides there, and two, his mother strongly sees the Nightwatchers as a cult, a place where someone as delicate as Folleto would be killed in an instant. Not many dragons know of his true hobbies due to this, nor does Folleto see the point in trying to make friends or even acquaintances (not because he's rude, he doesn't find himself to be deserving of them). When it comes to the kingdom, he is known as the loner, a guy who has no father, one who Linterna hates, mama's boy, or just "Finny" - a nickname which was generously generated by Linterna.

Extra:

- He loves dancing, though it wasn't his choice. He has grown to enjoy the feeling of moving his body and hearing crowds cheer for him - it's the only validation that he gets.

- Closeted homosexual, too scared to tell anyone for the fear that Linterna might find out and belittle him further.

- Because of his overprotective mother and scornful co-worker he has grown an irrational fear of older women, worried that they will always look down on him and deem him as incapable of anything. He would always speak to them with his head down low to avoid eye contact, even if they were the sweetest dragon alive.

- He has some nature elements in him, if he really wanted to he can grow arcane-themed plants. The branches growing from him however are just genetics; he was born with them.

- This little guy LOVES praise, he leeches off of it. Any slight compliment he gets means everything to him - no matter who's it's from or the intention. It's quite easy to manipulate him, actually, it's SCARILY easy - it's no wonder Caeda's so worried.

- He stumbles a lot because of his sage cover, but he was made to believe (by Linterna) that his arcane eyes looked ugly against his dull blues - and that caused him to try and hide them as much as possible.

- He made his sage cover himself from the softest material he could find, and whenever he isn't wearing it he feels weird. He even made a separate patch that covers just one eye for when he wasn't preforming and wanted to see comfortably.

- He realized that he wasn't straight after meeting a reoccurring fan from the crowd. A good-looking male dragon was showering him in compliments until Folleto subconsciously began fawning over him, having dreams about the encounter. The fan hasn't appeared in a few shows.

- He has maladaptive daydreaming. (from here)

Folleto x The Wanderer

"The Wanderer is not one for stopping in mid-flight. He goes from his clan to the best markets and that is it, he does not stray from his path. At least, not when something shiny and pretty catches his eye - after all, he wouldn't have many stories to tell if he didn't stray, sometimes, would he?

Golden wings snap out, gracefully guiding him to the ground, to the pretty blue fae that he'd caught dancing. All alone, such an easy target for a dragon like himself. The pearlcatcher alights upon the ground as light as a feather, hidden eyes fixed upon the dragon in front of him. So small, so petite. He could kidnap this one, wrapped up like a little blue present to himself. The Wanderer won't do such a thing, though. Kidnapping isn't his style.

"My, what lovely dancing." So instead he speaks up, voice cool and smooth. The golden dragon smiled serenely, tapping silvery claws on the ground. "I haven't seen such graceful moves in so long. I've traveled so far...would you humor an old storyteller?"

The Wanderer moves, as graceful as a flower petal on a summer breeze, gentle smile still affixed to his half hidden face. He circled the fae, wings carefully folded and cloak gingerly kept from dragging in the dirt. He is, to anyone not aware of his myth, a picture of safety and charisma. Anyone wise would see him for the silver tongued serpent of bad luck and tragedy. But this fae seems young, ignorant. Just his type.

"Oh, oh you have no ideas of how far I have flown, how long I have been searching, just to see you dancing all alone. To not a single tune of music, not even a flute! Ah, but how tragically gorgeous you are, in this moonlight." He tilted his head, finally sitting still. He curls his tail around silvery claws, and his smile turns something akin to a dangerous grin. "Oh, wouldn't you let me sing for you, and you dance for me? I've flown so far - and oh, wouldn't you dance for me, my pretty, pretty star?"

He has something spirit- and fairy-like to him, and appears very shy, timid and cautious to me, but you can imagine how he unfolds all his beauty, wonders and miracles when he can be his true self. Given the treeshroud, the lanterns and the flowerfall he seems to me like a ghost light, like a guardian of the woods, who guides the lost ones home and helps them finding their path back to a save place."
