Biography
Kalamar
Kalamar came to our clan from another Nature lair, but despite his Nature roots and home, he always felt a strong affinity to the Water element. His name, Kalamar, was made up from two words meaning "squid" (in German and Latin, Kalmar and Calamare), because he reminds other dragons of a colorful creature of the ocean. Kalamar likes to think of himself as a sea dragon, even though he has never even swum in or been to the ocean. In fact, he doesn't even know how to swim. (He once asked Charybdis to teach him how to swim, but that ended with Kalamar tying himself into an anxious knot and almost drowning. Mariana blames Charybdis for that episode, while Kalamar tries not to think of it at all. Since that day, he only "swims" in shallow water.) He likes to daydream and paint colorful sea creatures (he made up based on stories he has heard or simply invented himself) on the walls of the clan's tree caves. Kalamar joined our clan because he fell in love with Mariana, who reminds him of an enchanted, beautiful creature of the deep sea.
