Freki is one of the older dragons of the clan, and fiercely independent. He hides mostly behind the calculating and efficient demeanour that only lightning dragons can muster.

He was once a plain guardian with his mate, a wind fae, as his charge and both were content with just each other. They spent the years together and in time patterns began blooming on Freki's scales. He always said it was his love manifesting on the outside.

After much deliberation, he and his mate finally asked the Windsinger to make them more equal, and the next day they awoke as skydancers. But happiness isn't for everyone and he soon after lost his mate in an accident in the Reedcleft Ascent.

Heartbroken and still feeling the loss of his charge he wandered into Shadow territory, but found that surviving alone was too cumbersome. So he joined the first clan he found, but in all his time there never got close to another dragon again.

Much later, he witnessed Geri's accident, and feeling guilty for not preventing it, supported him in his reconvalescence. Now, despite his insistence on the contrary, they care deeply for each other.
