B R A N C H- //- B A K E R

- - - Branch, the local baker in Verdurous Terrace, typically smells sweet like sugared fruit. He is best known for the sweet treats he makes at his bakery, including pastries, pies, cakes, and candies. However, he also bakes a variety of breads and uses them to assemble a small selection of pre-made sandwiches. His personal favorite is a Dried Fish Sandwich!

- - - He's still working on baking seafood into sweets, but so far he has only succeeded in making a fish pot pie. Anything sweeter than that turns into sugary fish paste, which he actually enjoys. Unfortunately, not many others in Verdurous Terrace share the same taste.

- - - Branch gets most of his plant ingredients from Cosmo the gardener, who accepts samples of baked goods as payment. Despite not being born a nature dragon, Branch feels very close to Cosmo and enjoys his speeches about appreciating the natural world.

- - - Branch has a hard time understanding many of the dragons in Verdurous Terrace since he is one of few coatls in the territory. However, he still enjoys the company of the tribe and does his best to understand and speak to everyone. He is relieved when Bandit visits his bakery, however, because she rarely speaks, which means he doesn't need to strain himself in an attempt to communicate. Her mate, Gecko, however can be extremely difficult to keep up with.

- - - Once the day is over and Branch closes his bakery for the day, he completes one last errand before going home. He makes sure to gather up any items approaching their expiration date to gift to the outcasts of Verdurous Terrace.

- - - He travels deep into the woods to find Bahar and quietly place wrapped food by his den. Then, he sneaks quietly to the water's edge and searches for Myrtle. Once he finds her, he waves to her and sets down the food. Unlike with Bahar, Branch is afraid of Myrtle. He doesn't believe she would ever hurt him, but there is something largely unsettling about her.

- - - Once Branch arrives back at his den, he eats whatever he saved himself for dinner and brainstorms new recipe ideas, typically involving seafood. He's just determined to create a fishy sweet that the whole tribe will love. Once he's curled up and drifts into sleep, he dreams about the perfect treats and how much enjoyment they'll bring all of Verdurous Terrace.
