Vaquro's 'law' enforcement predates the inclusion of the Vulture Talon Mercenary Company by several years. He, alongside his brother Mustang and several other rank and file dragons, were enough to keep the shanty town standing and mostly unbothered until it truly became a city. Even with his quick draw and quicksilver tongue, it was just too much ground to cover effectively. He was actually the one to propose a contract with the infamous group. The two had a difficult start, but increasing attacks by mindless zombie hoards smoothed things out.

The Spiral's condition is the reason why he and his brother sought out the city. Unlike Hemo, he considers it an annoyance at best. It gives him wicked bad heartburn and makes trying to find clothes that won't immediately combust a hassle. Also, it makes the dubious researchers eye him something awful.

Vaquero wrote the lawbook for Sinew City, given a certain definition of 'law'. No scamming, cursed artefacts are to be handled away from the population center, no murdering in the streets, and keep your grubby paws to yourself. Everything else is fair game. The recent activities of the Emperor's Devout has him contemplating adding to the rules.

Much of the rank and file has changed between the years, but he makes the effort to at least know their chosen names. He's the type of coworker to share a few words and a smoke break with, yet also saves you a donut when he notices you being down. Doesn't like to bring attention towards the generosity because he has an image tp maintain.

In his limited freetime, he enjoys woodcarving, strong coffee, absurd campfire tales and blowing smokerings. He would rather not go near the ocean if he can help it, deal with people who talk slowly, battle the undead or run out of coffee. A bag of the good beans works as an effective bribe on him.
