On the very edge of the clan where clearing led to swamp, tucked between two old and gnarled trees, was a rather small run down-looking store. Everyone insisted it was still being maintained, though no one would say to check it out. The sign above the door read "Pawn Shop" in big, sloppily painted letters, bearing the image of a black pawn chess piece separating the words. The door didn't fit the frame quite right, swinging outwards with a squeal. Inside the ramshackle room, the shelves were stuffed with items collecting dust, clattering noises coming from behind the counter. "Where was- ow! Somebody needs to get this damn counter fixed, and it's not gonna be me-" Seems this dragon had whacked his head against the underside before pulling his head up, quickly spotting you and putting on a sleazy business smile. "Ah, a customer! Greetings, welcome, come in! We got all kindsa useless junk for you to buy, but we're always taking in new donations!" There didn't seem to be any price tags on any of this "useless junk", and he seemed to be more interested in taking whatever you have to give. While you're looking around, he slowly spins a white king chess piece in his claws, seemingly appraising you like another collectible. |
