"Life is a few moments all
strung together like pearls . . ."

Honor is gifted with an honest spirit and independent mind and serves the Lightweaver loyally, dedicating himself to defending the Sunbeam Ruins, and his new clan, against threats from the Shade and rival flights. Although, it's not without doubts towards the Lightweaver's judgement.

He has a strong sense of purpose. He used to live in a fortress-like tower guarded by a Sunbeam Ursa. He doesn't trust outsiders to handle knowledge wisely, even viewing the Lightweaver with a suspicious eye at times. This distrust is combined with arrogance, as he doesn't easily recognize the potential contributions of dragons unlike himself. At his best, Honor is a bastion of noble defense who will protect those in need. At his worst, Honor will act the cult leader and unfortunately crush the spirits of isolated, indoctrinated dragons around him.

Despite his and his kin's break with the Lightweaver, Honor retains his dedication to hoarding knowledge and defending the Sunbeam Ruins from the Shade, other flights, and Emperors. He is convinced Sornieth is on the decline, possibly on the verge of a great cataclysm, and he and his kin are the only ones capable of preventing catastrophe.

Unlike most Pearlcatchers, Honor doesn't fear combat. One of the few times other dragons get to see him and his kin is when the Light flight goes to war, and armies of Altus Pearls arrive out of nowhere with powerful artifacts, strange magic, and deadly fighting abilities. He, like the rest of his kind, practice specialized combat techniques meant for killing Emperors. (This is one of the few well-known facts about Altus Pearls, and they are colloquially called ‘Emperor Slayers’). In their view, Emperors, and therefore Imperials, are one of the greatest threats to Sornieth. He is, thankfully, one of the tolerant Altus Pearls who only harbour suspicions of Imperials. Or else living arrangements with his new clan would be impossible.

To make him feel more at home, Lilandra gifted Honor a Sunbeam Ursa for company as she knew how alone he could make himself.
