Biography

(Read my sister's (Skyfall) bio for part of the story!)

Note from dragon: I love my sister more than anything in the world. I also love my clan, more than anything in the world. So what do I love more? I refuse to answer that question.

A cold shadow passed over the nest, littered with sticks and rocks. The figure slithered and coiled around the precious eggs. Squinting its eyes despite the full moon, the figure hissed. What started out as a gentle whoosh of wind turned into a full-on growl.

From deep within the woods, another dragon emerged. While the slithery form was cold and rigid, this creature emitted a certain warmth. No, not the warmth in which babies cuddle up to their mothers, this warmth was threatening and sickly sweet.

"This better be the right one," the dragon murmured slowly, letting a hint of venom drop into his voice. He said it just loudly enough so the other dragon could hear.

"Of course it is. Have I ever failed you once?" raising herself up and perching delicately on the edge of the nest, the female dragon tried to hide her fear. Her voice came out a tad bit too high, but her image remained nonchalant.

However afraid she was, she couldn't deny that the male dragon was a true beauty. Her heart stopped in her chest, in fact, he was breathtaking. Unfortunately, he had no interest in her, only the offspring.

"Hand them over," he suddenly said.
"What?!" she exclaimed, outraged, "These eggs aren't due to hatch yet! And you know that!"
"Hand them over," he repeated, growing more impatient by the second.
"What will you do with them?" she asked, inquisitive now.

A sudden glaze came over his otherwise sharp blue eyes. He opened his mouth, but no sounds would come out. However, the female dragon kept her mouth snapped shut. She knew that if she interrupted, she wouldn't be forgiven, maybe even left in the forest to die. Finally, after what seemed like eternity, the male dragon spoke. His voice was rich and powerful, full of visions, "I will make him a prince - a ruler - of his own land. I will teach him to build his clan, and-" he paused, darting a nervous glance at the female dragon. But she didn't need him to continue what he was going to say, she already knew before he started speaking. "I will teach him to build his clan, and tear eliminates all enemies before him."

In sudden disgust, the she-dragon narrowed her dark blue eyes. "Why that's an amazing plan... what about the daughter?" she snarled.

Not sensing the change in tone, the male dragon waved his tail dismissingly. "She doesn't deserve to live! What use is a she-dragon anyways?" he laughs a deep dark laugh that sends shivers down her spine. "We can just get rid of her."

Widening her eyes, the she-dragon slithered forward so that she was on the ground. In one quick movement, her legs darted out and kicked the eggs away. The growing sense of sorrow was replaced by triumph as she smiled sweetly at the male dragon. He was furious.

The she-dragon was quick, but the male dragon was even quicker. In one pounce, he was on top of the she-dragon. Letting out a strangled gasp, she collapsed completely on the floor. "You'll never get what you want, I just made sure of it," she said softly, her breathing was coming in quick and shallow gulps.

He started laughing, softly at first, then harder until all she could hear was his laughter. "Silly. Pathetic. Whatever you want to call yourself. You'll see, he'll become a merciless ruler, just like me. He'll be adorned with gold. He will make all his subjects bow down to him. Is that all so bad?" he whispered in her ear.

Eyes filled with tears, she replied immediately, "Not if he ends up like you." And then she went silent. The male dragon stalked off into the night.

The male dragon was right, but he was also wrong. The once baby dragon didn't end up like a ruler, but his clan still adored him so much that they made him golden clothing for his enjoyment. He was benevolent to everyone, but most of all, he was happy. Aquarius has found his home, with his sister, in this clan.
