Biography

(Read my brother's (Aquarius) bio for part of the lore)

Note from dragon: I know there was a time before this clan, but everything before that time seems like a blur in my memory. To me, the clan is everything. There was a silent and unspoken rule that everyone followed without complaint - because it is a good rule: Clan before anything. I am loyal to the clan, and in turn, they are loyal to me. I am happy here.

The eggs rolled down the hill. Over the roots, under some branches, bumping against tree trunks they came to a stop. Deep in the forest, in the pitch black of midnight, there were two eggs. Two utterly oblivious eggs that had no idea what misfortune had befallen them. Who could blame them? For they were safely in their shell. The eggs stayed there for several Sun cycles.

On the day of the hatching, it was completely dark. There was no moon, and the forest was plunged in darkness. The only light source nearby was the tree they were under, which was glowing with fireflies. It was scary, sure, but it was the first thing the hatchlings saw. As their dark blue eyes met each other's a sudden understanding ran through them. 'We have to protect each other to live'

And so the hatchlings climbed out of their shells gingerly. They were beautiful, to put it simply. It was like the ocean and the sky decided to clash together. They looked like descendants from the stars, so to speak. These hatchlings... they were innocent, yes. Cute, definitely. But safe? That was a different matter altogether. Unbeknownst to them, they were a danger to each other. Aquarius was too ambitious, and on the other hand, Skyfall was too naive.

For two siblings that looked so similar, they clashed together, almost at every moment. If one kindles a flame carelessly, the flame will consume everything.

Aquarius was quick to leap to conclusions, almost recklessly. He liked to fight or dazzle his way out. Trusting nobody but his sister, who he would protect with his life, he took care of her every day. Aquarius was a proud dragon. He had his father's visions, though he had never met his father.

Skyfall always thought things through, sometimes too slowly for Aquarius's liking. Other times, she would think so long about such a simple problem, that she had not accomplished anything at all. She is quick to trust and loves to talk her way out. She is very fond of Aquarius but thinks he's sometimes a little bit too protective.

Eventually, Skyfall began to become guilty. One day it became impossible to hold in her guilt. Tracing a claw in a circular shape in the dirt, she raised her head slightly, just enough to look her brother in the eye.

"I should leave," she said finally.
Startled, Aquarius turned to look at her. Holding her soft blue gaze, he asked cautiously, "Why?"
"I'm just deadweight to you."
"No, you're not."
"Yes, I am. You can't possibly deny that. We should go our separate ways. You know this was bound to happen," she sighed.

Aquarius shook his head, slowly, but it was not convincing. Skyfall knew, that deep down, Aquarius wanted this too. She tried not to be hurt by it. She knew that the argument was won before it begun. The two dragons turned away from each other and headed in different directions. They did not glance back once.

It was only days later, that the growing ache in Aquarius began to hurt. He could no longer focus on his fishing - each time the fish would just slip through his claws, he was constantly sorrowful, and worst of all, he felt empty. A fire without kindling is not a fire at all.

Skyfall began to feel these aches too. Perhaps it was wrong to leave. Her doubts grew bigger. Eventually, she headed to the place where she knew Aquarius would be too. And so under the firefly tree she waited.

Several more days passed, and still no sign of Aquarius. Just as she was about to give up and keep going, a flash of blue rushed toward her.

"I'm so sorr-" she sobbed, unable to finish her sentence.
"I know," Aquarius said with unusual gentleness.

That day, their bond grew stronger. Sometimes you need to let go to appreciate what you have. And if they come back, then they truly appreciate you.

Together, they wandered the forest. Eyes alert, Skyfall said, "Shhhh... I hear..." she strained her ears, "... Voices!" They hurried towards the non-hostile sounding voices. In fact, they sounded jubilant.

They had found a new home in this clan. Skyfall had never been less lonely. The dragons genuinely admired her, and her integrity. Amused, she watched Aquarius strive to be the dragon he was best at being: An amazing brother... and friend.
