Biography
Urthemiel is Bregalad's mate. All of Bregalad's lovers have been called Urthemiel. He doesn't mean to forget their names, but at some point in his past, it was pounded into his head that "dragon I love = Urthemiel," and he can't seem to shake the habit. She knows he means it more as a term of endearment than out of malice, anyway.
The current Urthemiel was found unconscious near the cave's entrance, wounded by a tribe of nearby harpies. She had no name, and no possessions to speak of, but offered to work to repay the clan for saving her. Despite their protests that no such service was needed, she set to keeping the place clean and took over much of the day-to-day tasks that come with running a clan. Over time, she came to care deeply for the Halfway Down dragons - Bregalad especially. She figured her feelings were unrequited, until the day he absentmindedly called her Urthemiel. She decided it was as good a name as any, and has remained at his side ever since. She sometimes wonders about the original Urthemiel, but more out of idle curiosity than any real concern; she is devoted to Bregalad, and he is just as unerringly faithful to her.
Urthemiel doesn't tend to speak much, but prefers to let her actions speak for her. She loves jewelry, but often gives away any such trinkets she finds, as she loves giving gifts far more than receiving them. The exception is her necklace - given to her by Bregalad when he asked her to stay with him permanently - and the matching bracelet - a gift from her daughters.
