Bearberry: Crimson flair

Bearberry
Kōruru Huaki
A.k.a: Bear, Bearbait, or (Drama) King

Theme song: Set It Off-- Nightmare
Notes:
  • Possesses a broken, twisted version of his father's powers: he heals much faster than normal, and can leave the afterlife like his kin can, but he can't enter on his own terms.
  • Like his father, he struggles to truly understand grief and how other dragons view death. In fact, Bearberry struggles to understand the emotions of other dragons at all, and feels no empathy for them.
  • Things have to be greatly exaggerated for him to generate any emotional response. As such, he tends to overstate his facial expressions and let the action reverse-engineer the feelings he knows he should be experiencing.
  • Eternally dissatisfied, Bear's only passion is his love of performing and dramatics.
  • Overthinks. Constantly. Bear physically cannot be left alone too long, as he will become agitated in confined spaces; this usually degenerates into audio-visual and tactile hallucinations. However, no one knows that he sees and hears things when alone, only that it makes him agitated and violent.
  • His first House name alludes to both of his parents and then himself, as it can mean "overcast", "shadow", or "uneasiness / dread".
  • He's very close with his eldest brother Foxglove, more so than he is with anyone else. He hasn't told Fox that he sees and hears things sometimes, but Fox is starting to suspect that there is something more than just anxiety there.
  • Bear's hallucinations never used to be that bad, and no one knows why they got suddenly worse as he grew older... except Malay, who avoids Bear like the plague. And Malay, having a very weak immune system, avoids the plague considerably more than most.
