Not every gaoler loved their duty. Aneira and Nevze, for sure, did not. When the pair heard they were opening up seeker positions, they instantly applied. They ended up selected, and got out of there as fast as they could. For a bit, they followed orders, until one day they just... disapeared. Nobody knew where they had gone.

Of the two, Aneria was the one with the most drive. Her ambition was what got her the position of seeker, and it was her strength that showed that she could do excellently. The only thing was, she had no amount of love for her fellow gaolers, save Nevze. She viewed them as heartless and out of touch. As far as she's concerned, the shade can do whatever it liked as long as she got to keep doing whatever she liked.

The two now live in the outskirts of The Clan of Whispering Willow's territory, in an area known as The Patchworks ("It's the only space in their territory with gaps in the canopy big enough to see the ground through." is how Evangeline had explained it when she had asked). The clearing they've claimed now boasts a small den, fitted with nests, food, and other necessities. The clan dragons leave them be, mostly, and let them live how they wish. Occasionally they can be seen at the marketplace, to get supplies they couldn't get themselves.
