Biography

A bright yellow glow coursed along his body as his systems booted from sleep mode. He awoke. The light faded, but the lines remained clearly visible. His eyes still glowed unnaturally.
Firebrand was only a short flight away from his destination, and he stretched leisurely as he contemplated it. The clan was nestled in the heart of this vibrant jungle. It was said to be lead by a pair of tundras, highly unusual for this climate according to his data. Some leaves rustled and he jumped, bright eyes darting to the spot. Small labels visible to his eyes alone revealed the identity of the plants and other living things he could see when focused on, so he quickly found the source of the noise. Just a small bird landing on a large frond. He blinked away the label before the species information could start scrolling. This particular enhancement of his was part of the reason he was sent here.
He was sent here. Now remembering his goal, he took to the air in a looping path towards his destination.
The open clearing shaded only sparsely by the canopy high above was inviting, and highly insecure from dragon attack. They must live a safe life here. He wished every place could be as such.
He landed by a small stream and looked around. He was immediately surrounded by a variety of dragons, mainly adults. There were many different species, but not all known species were present. He took mental note of this. Tundra, spiral, coatl, mirrors, and a single snapper.
Two complementary coloured tundras stepped forward, looming over him. This would have been intimidating if not for their soft eyes and kind smiles.
Before they could say anything, he spoke his well practiced introduction, "Hello, I am Firebrand, which is a misnomer I assure you, of FL/GHT. I was sent to learn about your unique culture and habits to add to our database. I- we mean no harm, I am simply here to learn."
The female spoke, "How very interesting. We accept dragons from all over, and so long as you won't harm us or disrupt our lives, you are free to stay."
The male's eyes had wandered across the visitor's oddly marked body, "What are you exactly? Your markings don't seem natural."
Firebrand smiled, "Very astute observation sir..?"
"Hugo. This is my mate Loretta."
"Very good, as I was saying, and you so keenly pointed out, these markings are not natural. They were given to me by the dragons who saved my life, the dragons at FL/GHT. They enhance my natural abilities and give me some new and unusual ones that are highly valuable on a mission such as this. A mission to gather intelligence on natural dragon life and behaviors."
The duo nodded, then smiled and spoke together, "Welcome to the clan, Firebrand."

[LvA] Sunday “On the first day of the expedition, Speck and Cosmo, two plucky young sprites traveling with their expedition teams, meet! Thanks to their small size and faint glow, both sprites plan to travel together, scouting ahead of their expedition teams for any upcoming dangers. It’s sure to be an adventure to remember!”
“Speck has a penchant for all things that glow, seeing as she herself emits a soft one. So, when she spotted a soft aura amongst the rubble, she split off from Cosmo to investigate. A short while later, Speck proudly presents a crystal she dug up! While she’s not entirely sure what it is, she’s sure the Lamplight Expedition Co. will know when she brings it back.” [LvA] Monday
[LvA] Tuesday “Turns out exploring long-forgotten parts of a building can get a little confusing. Coming across a map, Speck and Cosmo decide to take a break and figure out where they are. The only problem, they can’t tell if it’s a map of the Sunbeam Ruins section or the Starfall Isles section. Cosmo is seemingly finding it a bit dizzying. Ah, oh well, they’ll figure it out eventually…”
“This room is full of ancient bones that were once on display! Speck thinks they’re quite fun. Who knows what stories these bones could tell if they could talk? Especially these jawbones? Cosmo seems a little disarmed, but Speck chalks that up to the Sunbeam Ruins probably being full of more organic history than the Starfall Isle’s cosmos-imbued lands.” [LvA] Wednesday
[LvA] Thursday “Wow! These scholars left a lot of stuff behind. And made away with a lot too before they shuttered the library, it seems? In another ancient archive room, Speck checks out an empty glass terrarium. She wonders what could’ve once been in here - a skull? Plants? Something brined? …uck, hopefully not. Either way, it’s cool!”
“The sprites are lost somewhere in the tunnels. Cosmo argued they should’ve gone right, Speck was so sure it was left, and frankly neither of them is sure how they ended up going up, but either way, this dead end is blatantly not right. They’ve decided to make do and set up a little base camp for the night. They’ll figure their way back to their expedition teams in the morning!” [LvA] Friday
[LvA] Saturday “After a long and harrowing adventure, the two sprites came upon a room deep in the bowels of the Enchanted Library. With something sparkling in the darkness, how could they not be drawn to it? Upon further investigation, the two sprites recognized the well-known magic of the Lightweaver and the Arcanist combined. Speck and Cosmo have proudly found a bracelet, the imbued with the magic and blessing of the two deities, symbolizing friendship between the two flights! Oh, the expedition teams are going to be so excited!!”
