One of the oldest members of the Ashclan, Orion and his mate Ophelia joined Zephyr and Auster in the Everbloom Gardens. The four believed that with their combined physical and magical strength, they had a much better chance at survival than each pair alone. The Ashclan, under a different name at the time, is considered to have been formed when the group was shortly after joined by a young imperial, Mars.

Orion has a great interest in the legends associated with the deities and the origin of dragonkind. As well as this, he is skilled in elemental magic. Along with Ophelia, he is a Loremaster of the clan, and is training his son Rigel to take over the role.

Prior to joining Zephyr and Auster, Orion and his mate travelled across Sornieth extensively and as a result have a great degree of knowledge about the different Flights.
