Biography
Story
Meena remembers the first garden she tended to as a hatchling. The nature dragons taught her to carefully weed, water, and tend to the plants. She remembers the satisfaction of getting dirt in her claws, of applying fertilizer to the soil.
She remembers when her plants died.
She wasn't too sad about it, because by then she'd realized the same techniques one used on plants could be used on other dragons -- befriend them, tend to their needs, and they will grow. But nature flight was already perfect -- her skills were needed elsewhere. And so, she left home to start her own garden of sorts, a garden of perfect, pristine dragons.
Well, more like ran away as a hatchling.
She was quickly found by an orphanage, however, and taken to the Coalition of Broken Glass by Gallindra.
She was too young to start a clan of her own, so she offered her services of "dragon improvement." Speculo took her under her maize-colored wings as a personal assistant, curious as to what she was actually offering to do.
Personality
Meena, as a typical spiral, is enthusiastic and talkative and is always offering advice to those around her, even unwarranted. She is an extrovert, and easily spots the weakness of dragons around her. Whatever needs improvement shines to her observant eyes like a beacon. Depending on the dragon's personality, she'll do whatever necessary to get rid of the this: point it out to them, teach them something, report it to Speculo... she always picks the option that will get the most results.
She's actually quite a good and patient teacher, having taught the hatchlings to read at Speculo's request. Meena is acutely aware of the strengths and shortcomings of other species, having researched them extensively herself, and will slow her pace if needed. She's learned a handful of languages in addition to the dragons' out of hopes she may someday be able to improve beastclans as well.
Meena can be overbearing and annoying at times, however. Occasionally she will have dragons snap at her to back off, they're working on it, and Meena will be reminded once again that her excitable nature is a double-edged sword.

Speculo rarely asks much of her personal assisstant, but when she does, it is usually for help with menial tasks, such as adding things to the clan registry. But Speculo has given Meena a strict list of requirements each dragon in the clan must have to avoid being kicked out, and Meena regularly checks to make sure each dragon is meeting these standards.
The list is made public, but it's too much for Speculo and Custos alone to make sure every dragon in the clan is meeting requirements. This is where Meena comes in -- her boundless energy allows her to constantly keep tabs on dragons to make sure they're well-performing. If a dragon is lacking, rather than punishment, Meena will personally help them and make sure they know what to do before leaving them to grow on their own. It's a hard job, but Meena tackles it with gusto because she loves what she does.
As a side note, those who are considered assistants to Speculo wear bird skulls.

Meena is good friends with Speculo and Custos, having to speak with them often due to her job. But when things are going well, the three will often speak of philosophy or nature. Meena and Speculo have had previous prejudices pulled away by having an inter-flight friendship.
Meena is also well-liked by clan members due to her friendliness and willingness to slow down enough for every dragon to understand. Few dragons forget the kindness Meena shows them when they've been slacking for some reason, whether it serious or silly. Meena is well known as the glue that holds the clan together with the leader and keeps it running smoothly.
When submitting her own books and papers to the library, Meena will often write about psychology, nature, or the value of efficiency if she can't buy a book from somewhere else in time.

Ok, this was really hard, but I think Meena here is the evilest looking one. With the leaves and that mask, she reminds me of some woodsy assassin, able to blend into trees and shrubbery and strike when her target least expects it.
