Terse, acerbic and short-tempered, Lin is dedicated, capable, and does not suffer incompetence. Not merely the co-coordinator of other guards, she takes her own shifts, and frontline roles in all defense battles. Fiercely protective of Thicket Haven and its inhabitants, she's earned respect from all and love from a very few. Deeply scarred not only from battles with those she'd known were hostile to her clan, but from a battle with her younger half-sister, Lin is consequently very slow to trust. She has a not-so-secret soft spot for her familiar, an intelligent Magma Runner she calls Mako.
Having already acquired some vision loss with an old neck and facial injury, Lin is gradually losing her remaining sight due to a genetic condition. To cover for this, she is teaching herself how to echolocate, but muscle memory and experience are so far not only making up for but concealing the imapirment from her clan.
She is fearful of being thought of as a liability, and pushes herself to be among the clan's most needed assets.
