Linsey is a wanderer by nature. She hates to stay anywhere longer than a week, is allergic to any gathering of more than a few dozen dragons, and stays willfully ignorant of concepts like 'money' and 'laws', especially the ones pertaining to private property, trespassing, and vagrancy. She has friends, but not many. Hattie is one of them, the Nocturne and Tundra having struck up an easy, adversarial, acquaintance from the first day Linsey wandered into the junkyard and asked if there was anywhere to wash up. After a short argument about money (Linsey doesn't believe in it; Hattie believes in nothing else), it was decided she could trade a couple days of feeding ducks and hauling junk for a bath, meals, and as much metal scrap as she could weld onto her frame. Ever since then, Linsey makes a point to swing by when she's in the area, just to keep Hattie on her toes, and deliver some gift or other to Pert. The hatchling eats up her stories of jumping fences and taking unattended veggies, much to her mother's annoyance, but hey, someone has to be the bad influence and cool aunt! Everything below Linsey's waist is metal and cloth and faux fur; the effect could never be mistaken for a real body, but it works well enough and hasn't fallen apart yet. It's only ever a problem in the rain. She's not afraid of rust, she maintains herself too well to worry about that, but canvas is so much heavier when it's wet. |

Hattie doesn't mind having the vagrant around, but she certainly wishes her daughter had found someone else to idolize. Linsey clearly dotes on the hatchling, but doesn't have much of a sense of what's appropriate around a hatchling who doesn't even fly yet. |

Though she'd never admit it, Linsey likes this kid. Pert is quiet, attentive, and never tries to interrupt her stories or rummage through her bags. It doesn't hurt her ego to have found someone who believes her stories at face value, either. |
