Personality

Originally born a Centaur, Ansgar was transformed into a weredragon by Vitomir. Despite his new condition, he still upholds the Centaur code of honor and fights to protect the clan that took him in. He never hesitates to jump directly into danger if it means protecting someone he cares about. In spite of his recklessly protective behavior, he fears becoming too incapacitated to fight and constantly strives to become stronger.

Calypso
Calypso’s curse often brings misfortune to those around her. Strangely enough, however, she seems to have no effect whatsoever on Ansgar. Some speculate that this is because Ansgar isn’t a full dragon to begin with. Ansgar himself disregards these claims and attributes it to the fact that he doesn’t believe in luck.
Bio coded by [url=http://flightrising.com/ma

Ansgar was a centaur born and raised in the light territory. He was raised to be a powerful warrior. Though his herd saw much more potential in him then just his berserker fighting capabilities. They wanted him to work in magic so he could be well versed in multiple fighting techniques.

So ansgar was sent off to learn under a dragon tribe where he would be able to learn light magic. Over the months he spent there he was able to. though one hunting trip while he was out he would get the feeling of being followed. He would draw his axe which he always carried with him. "Who's there? come out now i will fight though if i have to"

Whatever it was it charged at him faster than he could react. in the brief glimpse he got whatever it was it looked like a mirror dragon. why was it attacking him his axe had made its mark but the dragon had also mad its... it had bit him managing to tear a bit off of him.

"WHAT WAS THAT FOR" he had shouted at the dragon... wait whered it go? it had disapeared almost as quickly as it had shown up... had he scared it off? or did it have some other motive for attacking him?

though one thing was for sure to him. He suddenly felt woozy... he had to get back to the clan . He would start running in the direction of the tribe something was very wrong and he would colapse on the way.

When he woke up he found himself under the roof of dragon clan he was studying under.

"Oh ansgar your awake . we were worried about you after you had vanished. We sent a search party looking for you" it was their medic. it was a fae dragon

ansgar would try to stand up

"Please stay down let your wound heal before you do anything too rash. id rather you not open it back up again either so"

"I'm sure it--" he stopped as he spoke something on the back of his neck and head moved... the fae seemed to notice it too but instead of saying anything would go off and bring a miror for ansgar to look into his own reflection expecting him to ask

Indeed ansgar now had a set of crests... large green ones contrasting his body ... they looked like the ones of faes would somewhat . his eyes had also taken on a glowing bright yellow "What happend when i was out ... this isnt normal "

"not sure. we sort of found you like that... we havnt seen anything like it in other of your kind."

"yeah i realize that i wouldve known if something like this had been seen in my herd"he then just sighed laying down completly he was tired

Despite the new growth on his head in the next few days ansgar was back up and ready within a few days. Though his affinity for magic had seemingly increased greatly out of nowhere. He was now able to do many light spells on his own.

though he did find himself now expressing himself more through his new crest. He also couldnt understand why but he now had this odd craving for insects. not that it bothered him too much as his dragon companions were easily able to provide.

though something even stranger happend about a week after the incident. It was the night of the full moon once again in the the world of sorenith. Though ansgar at the time. ansgar had already fallen asleep by the time the 2 moons rose. Though he soon awoken from his slumber quite abruptly due to the sudden pain that occured.

when he opened his eyes. he almost imidiatly noticed something was off. ... the room seemed to be much bigger than it had been when he fell asleep. it was only slightly but the room seemed to be growing by the second.... or was he actuallly shrinking?

Whatever it was he needed to get out of here fast. trying to get up he found his front legs weren't responding at all.in fact he fell forward in the attempt. the legs were starting to surge upwards and forward on his body. Also becoming longer in porportion to his other limbs... The entire proccess was becoming very painfull for him though he held back on being too loud

he had already shrank down to about a meter in size and was still getting smaller and as he got smaller so did his torso in comparison shrinking almos to the point where his arms were just in front of the new position of his front legs.

His entire body structure was shifting and changing completly . All the while his front "legs" had lost their fur and the hoofs had disapeared spliting up and leaving 5 long fingers which imidiatly would start to develop a red membrane between each of the fingers with stripes across the edges eventually coming to form a large set of wings.

all the while jade colored scales would start to appear on his new wings. Then the scales would spread out up to his now neck.which was actually getting longer. the scales on his underbelling had turned into a deep blue color.

While these scales were spreading up his neck they also spread down his arms shortening them as the went eventually reaching his fingers. they merged. the pinkey and the ring finger. and the middle and pointer. leaving only 2 clawed fingers and his thumbs left on his hand. The jade color was at its darkest down by the claws.

As this was all going on he had completly lost focus on anything going into a trans like state due to the transformation . especially as the scales on his neck had reached his head. which had rounded out. his ears shifted slightly upwards shrinking down a bit.. also what little was left of his hair from the fin development came out as the scales replaced it.

the scales would also spread backwords to his legs which would promptly start shrinking till the point they were a bit longer than his arms. his hoofs like his previously front legs would split into digits. except this time no membrane between the digits did not have any webing and were 4 long clawed toes. again as dark as his hands were at the tips and lightenning as it went up.

The last thing to change was his tail which would lengthen greatly as the hairs were shed from it.

now in place of the centaur was a fae hatchling who measured at about 25cm in length.

There was a thundering of hooves coming from outside. Ansgar could barely see out the window from his cage, but he knew it was his brethren. He tucked his legs beneath him and leaned his head against the bars. The centaur Beastclans passed by here often, almost like they were taunting him. It was like they knew he was once one of them. Snorting, he shook his head. He said ‘one of them’ like he was no longer a centaur.

The door slammed, jarring Ansgar from his thoughts. A green Pearlcatcher walked in and set his precious pearl aside. His dark orange eyes settled on the cages and he grinned. That grin sent chills down Ansgar’s spine. No one, dragon or beast, could tell what was behind it. This Pearlcatcher was Vitomir, mad scientist and bane of Ansgar’s existence. “Ansgar,” Vitomir crooned, “How very wonderful to see you.” He was lying.

“What do you want with me this time?” Ansgar spat, standing and tapping a rhythm on the steel floor with his hoof. This wasn’t the first time Vitomir had ‘visited’ twice in one day. And he was certain it wouldn’t be the last.

“Now, now, pet,” Vitomir sighed, reaching up and patting the top of the cage. “I just need to see how your secondary form is progressing. Would you kindly show it to me?” Venom dripped from his every word.

Ansgar would have given anything not to obey, but he knew what happened when he didn’t. He backed away from the bars to give himself some room. Then, he let the horrible memories flow in. Visions of his betrayal by someone he once considered a friend, of discovering most of his first clan dead, of learning that he had killed them. His consciousness slipped away and he collapsed.

Vitomir watched with barely contained excitement as the newly transformed Nocturne staggered to his feet. The Nocturne opened his eyes and an impossibly bright light issued from them. “Wonderful!” Vitomir cried, his grin taking on a wild quality. “It worked!” he grabbed a nearby parchment and began scribbling notes on it.

As Vitomir wrote, the Nocturne smiled. He rammed the cage door, rattling it, but not breaking it down. “Hello again, Vitomir,” he growled.

“Yes, hello, Ansgar,” Vitomir replied distractedly, seemingly unfazed by the sudden noise.

Ansgar paced around his cage, his star-speckled hide sparkling in the afternoon light. “Are these infernal tests over?” he asked. “Will I be free to go soon?” His shining eyes narrowed. “I have… business I would like to attend to.”

“Soon, pet,” Vitomir replied, the wicked grin returning to his face. “Soon.”
