Archivist's AssistantA djinn who doesn't have quite a good grip on his magic. He used to work as a merchant's assistant, until an accident resulted in a couple of rather unsatisfied customers and some wares just going poof!
Fearing his employer's wrath, Tashbaan fled to the Sunbeam Ruins, where he found refuge with a rather strange spirit. By the time his employer tracked him down, he'd also begun building a relationship with said spirit and wasn't keen on going back to his original job. He and his former employer reconciled and parted ways amicably.
Tashbaan currently hangs around the archives, where he helps his mate manage records and visitors. Somewhat misguidedly, he cultivates a "sinister spirit" image and most people find him shady at first. He's really just a big klutz, though, and despite the occasional magical mishap, is actually quite chatty and helpful.
