ONCE SOMETHING ORDINARY, NOW SOMETHING QUITE EXTRAORDINARY.
Never having been quite one for the culinary arts of Tridish Nouilles, this colourful one stayed mostly to the shadows, pursuing his own interests. Vsivaci had always been one of curious mind, whereas his mate Aurhys was happy to decorate the lair that never ceased to smell of anything but noodles. While their time at the Noodle Clan was quite peaceful, it also proved quite boring to Vsivaci. The colourful one had always desired more to know, more to pursue- Yet there was little reason to, near the quaint, vibrant kitchens.
It was as if something called out to him, amidst the forest nearby, though it was disadvised to go- Deemed cursed, especially once a dragon called Two had returned changed. It was an oddity, however, and Vsivaci never turned his eye away from such events. The more he learned, the more horrors would seep through the cracks, becoming visible to the pacifist residents of Tridish Nouilles.
There was something lurking between those wretched trees. Something that ought not to be trifled with, but would pose a danger if left to its devices for too long. As if non-existent, the clan leader Aether sought not to address it. Times had always been good, peaceful and happy, surely there was nothing to worry about?
Oh, how wrong the happy-go-lucky spiral was.
How wrong.
As more time passed, more dragons would return accursed of something unknown. Healers, herbalists and all the like, even the self-acclaimed scientist Vsivaci, tried all they could to no avail. With nothing else to turn to, it seemed there was but one choice. Refusing to leave their home behind, the Noodle Clan put its claws together and stood behind its strongest warriors, entering the dark territories of the lurking shadows.
Revealed the beast was a demon of the name Monsoon, with goals unknown, tainting the warm atmosphere of the clan. Blood shed so red, one could not mistake it anymore for mere tomato sauce on Spaghetti Saturdays. A battle fought hard it ended pyrrhic, though fortunately with the beast banished and no more.
Amongst the few survivors, Vsivaci was one, and it took them many a months to recover. Attempts were made to restore what was lost- Tridish Nouilles would soon look anew, though it was impossible to bring back its souls from the dead. Too taxing to keep grieving, the last lovingly said their goodbyes to what once was and left for elsewhere. Thus, what once was a warm and bustling place, was left to become a cold and desolate ruin, with nothing but lost memories attached to it.
A light at the end of the tunnel appeared with new beginnings. Vsivaci, having led the last someplace new within the Windswept Plateau. The Aergate, a peculiar place within this magical world of Sornieth, could bring new opportunities. The few left settled and build a new clan amidst the ruins of its rocky structure, though without a goal in mind. What were they to do?
Inspired, the colourful one shared his visions, his ambitions, his ideas. The dragons looked at one another and nodded in agreement- For this was someplace new, for it would be approppriate to start with something anew, too.
The birth of novelty in today's world, the clan, creatively, called itself TODAY.
And thus they reached towards dreams never realised before-
Reached towards discoveries never made before-
Reached towards horizons never passed before-
Into the beyond.
