             At first glance Tien appears to be nothing more than a peculiar hatchling. Her eyes show an aged wisdom however, and she is far older than what her childlike voice conveys. Tien is by Vix's side at all possible hours she can manage in what most might dismiss as an obsessive attachment. Very few are privy to her true intentions, why she follows the mayor about like a lost pup, what causes the mayor's rage to quell whenever the faux hatchling pines for her attention. Where she came from is uncertain, only that she was found wandering the wastes, seemingly lost and alone.

             Most evenings are a time when Tien allows herself to fall more into her role as a child, being read bedtime stories by Ibi until she is inevitably carried to bed. However, it is not uncommon for her to awaken in the middle of the night and go scampering through the manor in search of Vix. Her senses are finely tuned when it comes to the beast lurking inside the mayor. Even the slightest stirring from it and she races to keep it at bay, playing up her hatchling act by whimpering about nightmares or simply feeling lonely. Something about the facade calms the horror just enough. Always just enough.

Tien knew from the beginning of her mission that she would be forced to live out the rest of her days in an eternally youthful state. It was not a decision she made lightly. She could have passed the objective on to another, but in her heart she was confident that she would succeed here. The magic that changed her is a complex kind, allowing her to retain her memories, knowledge, and power while making her appear like a typical Gaoler hatchling.          While Tien's 'parents' are always busy and have rarely questioned her independence, Sovari caught her once with her Seeker Team. With some convincing from Ylva and Varg the Guardian agreed to stay quiet. Still, Tien worries about the possibility of her cover being entirely blown one day.          The horrorbeast must be kept in check at all costs.

Ylva and Varg traveled with Tien from the Southern Icefields on their mission to quell an exceptionally powerful horrorbeast. While Ylva tends to be a bit too headstrong and stubborn for the Overseer's liking, Varg is far more loyal and obedient. For now the two are simply waiting in the wings for any new orders.

A disgusting, troublesome creature. Tien has woken more than once to find the haunting true form of the leech peering through her bedroom window. She can't risk trying to take Lisette down herself; if she were caught her entire facade would be ruined. Ylva and Varg haven't managed to catch the little pest yet, either.
