  About.
Keeper is a very protective dragon, who cares for every dragon in the clan, young or old. She does not get involved in any fights, but practices healing magic and heals the hurt dragons after the confrontation is over. She makes sure every egg, hatchling and dragon survive, and she encourages the loving young dragons to go and find a new clan that would care for them, and the ones that are filled with bravery and pride to serve the deity directly, as that is the highest honour a dragon can have.

She encourages every dragon in the clan to do their best, and that they can do anything they put their mind to, as long as they put in enough hard work. She even encourages Frostbite with her....hobby, and is the only one in the lair that does not directly advise against it. She is disgusted by it, and has fallen ill because of Frostbite and her jewellery making, but want everyone to follow their dreams and do whatever it takes to make them happy.

Origins.
”So you would like to know how I got here, young traveller? Well, alright then.” The gentle dragon lowers her head down to lock eyes with yours, her eyes pools of calming blue. She picks you up, and flies up to a small room, high up in the cave. She gently places you down onto a pile of cushions, stuffed with sweet puff down. She passes you a warm blanket, and a mug of hot cocoa. As you curl up and sip at the sweet beverage, she lies down in front of you, her wings folded at her sides and her tail wrapped up around her, getting ready to tell her tale. Her eyes lock with yours again, her body language shows that she is a little more tense than before, but when you look into her eyes, you are suddenly overwhelmed with a calming sensation, as if every negative feeling in your body had been removed. After what seemed like days, she speaks again “So you want to know how I got here, young traveller? Well, I was not always the dragon you see before you.”

“I was raised in another clan, a water clan. The clan was very large, and I preferred to be left alone. When I was younger, I was not the type of dragon that I am today. I was aggressive, and had a short temper too. I was responsible for the injury and.......death of some of my clan mates.”

“I was the eldest of a set of twins, my twin brother being named Holo. As soon as I hatched I realised that in the dragon world, in this world, only the strongest would survive. I was never put in the coliseum, as I was only a hatchling, but to prove that I was the strongest, I wanted to fight the other dragons in the clan. The older dragons broke up these fights quickly and easily, but after I had fought quite a few different dragons, and had fatally injured a familiar, I was......banished. I was only a hatchling, and they threw me out onto the streets. My own friends. My own clan mates.”

“I had ended up finding a village, there were shops, a lovely tailor with amazing silks and ribbons hanging in the window, embellished with different coloured gems and jewels that sparkled and glimmered in the light. Oh, and it had the cutest little bakery.....! Anyway, back to the story. I was in the village, and I had found a small cave to call home. I was pretty good at hunting too, and because of my high agility, I was able to hunt on the mayor’s land without getting caught. It was a very big risk to even go into the mayors land without permission, never mind hunting on his land, but I knew that he and his workers were not as young or fast as I was, so it was a risk I was willing to take.”

“One day, as I was insect catching in the forest, I saw another pearlcatcher. His wings shone as the sunlight hit them through the trees, and he had exquisite rune patterns along his sides. Every day I went back to that spot, and as I was catching insects, I would watch him, and how he hunted. After what must have been a month, he walked over to me. I was stunned that he chose to talk to me, but I did try my best to talk to him. I would say that we “clicked”. Is that what you call it? Anyway, after a few weeks of meeting up with each other in that forest to go bug catching, we fell in love. We had an egg together, and I stayed in our small little cave on the hillside, looking after it. That egg was our pride and joy. I had lost some of my violent nature, but any new dragon that would come along would be killed. But, we were happy. I should have known it wouldn’t last that long.”

“The next morning, everything changed. The dragon I loved was dead, his carcass resting on my wing, his glasses shattered, and the egg, our egg, had been torn in half, and the baby growing inside was gone. I was heartbroken. I had lost everything, all in one night. But, that day I couldn’t feel any anger towards whoever killed them, I couldn’t feel any rage. All I could feel was sadness. That day, I decided that no egg, hatchling or dragon should ever have to die like they did. I made a red and cream dress, tail cover and a hat too. Red was his favourite colour, and I wanted to remember them. I picked bright red roses and made them into a wing ornament. I went to the tailors and bought pink ribbons, and made those into bows to remember our pastel pink coloured egg.”

“Even now, I do not know who committed the murder, but I hope they are happy now. They took everything from me, and I hope my love and our hatchling are able to rest in peace, knowing that I won’t let another dragon die the way they did.”

“After a few days, I decided to walk around town. I heard a few dragons talking about a legend, a pretty scary one too. They said that if you go out on the icy tundra, you may be able to see a ghost of a dragon. They said that the dragon was very aggressive, and killed any dragon tresspassing on their land. Well, I knew what I was doing that day, I was going to see the ghost dragon. I knew that if it was a ghost dragon, they would be able to let me talk to my family, just one more time, and if they were very aggressive, I would be able to be with my family again.”

“I walked out onto the icy tundra, my feet covered in chips of ice and icicles forming from my hat. I didn’t know if I would survive the cold, or the meeting with the ghost dragon, but I knew I wouldn’t just lay down and die. After what felt like hours of my claws scraping at the icy blanket beneath me, I saw a shadow in front of me. I saw their bright pink eyes shining through a birdskull, and they pounced at me. Then everything went black.”

“The next thing I remember was waking up, in this room actually. My hat was beside me, and it was quite warm. I remember thinking if I was dead. It was calm, warm and I was not hurt. A kind looking tundra walked in, followed by a coatl. They introduced themselves as Monarchy and Cane. They also said it was unusual for me to be alive. At the door, I saw another dragon. They were much larger than Cane, and the coatl was already much bigger than I was. I recognised them as the dragon that attacked me. I could now see that she was covered in birdskull jewellery, not just the headdress. Cane apologised to me that Frostbite had attacked me, but had said that it was unusual for her to bring me back alive and that she had taken pity on me. He said that Frostbite had known what I had gone through, and even with her killing would never wish that upon a dragon, or any other creature. Frostbite bared her fangs and flew down into the main part of the lair, followed by Monarchy and Cane. The next day I flew down to the main chamber, and saw it lead into a lot of separate rooms, one being a long corridor. In the corridor there were a lot of different rooms, all with eggs and hatchlings inside. I looked after them, and still do to this day.”

You were so engulfed in her story, you hadn’t noticed that her calm, blue eyes were filled with heartbreak and sadness. Her eyes fill with tears, she lifts her pastel wings and she flies down to the main chamber, leaving you in the room. You notice another human in the room, a young girl, with flowing brown hair and wearing a battered old hoodie. She looks at you, and points at the wall behind her, before vanishing. The wall is filled with pictures of Keeper with hatchlings and dragons that she has raised, and the picture in the middle of the wall shows Keeper with who must be her love, and their egg. You feel like you are being watched, but not by anything alive. The air is filled with sorrow, and you feel upset just looking at the pictures. There were even drawings of Keeper and hatchlings, most likely drawn by the hatchlings themselves.
