When faced with a being with two heads, where one always tells the truth, and the other always tells a lie, it is best to ask a question you know the answer to, like two plus two, or what date you were born. For that is a simple way to weed out the liar and discover the truth. But when faced with a single individual, every sentence uttered can be a lie, hidden behind a truth. For asking it what two plus two is will result in the answer four, but when you ask the same question again, after the seed of trust has been planted, the answer may be five, or eight or even one hundred. And the trust makes you blind to the deception, and the lies sound like truths to your ear. It is better to always be wary, little one, when faced with beings of great power... but then again, why on earth would you trust me?
