Zephyrstone set out with his mate, Lakereeds, to the beyond of the Windswept Plateau. After being banished from his lair, he needed to find a new home. Lakereeds, however, was not exiled, so she had to figure out a way to escape the lair to find and accompany Zephyrstone. After he long journey, she found Zephyrstone lying near a plain of bamboo, bleeding, his pearl resting against a shoot. "Z-Zephyrstone! What has become of you? I...Can you even use your magic? Zephyrstone!" she shook his body with her front claw. He blinked, but did not respond. His breathing was short and trembling. She held her pearl in her back foot and cast spells to heal Zephyrstone's wounds. He perked up his head.
"Lake...reeds? Why have you deserted our lair?" he sat up, now, rolling his lustrous gem over to his with his tail. "How have you find me in? These bamboo fields are quite arcane,"
"To you, Zephyrstone. I know these woods like the back of my claw. A fool like you could not navigate such grounds," she looked around, up at the flying spirals, down at the wispy grass. "Zephyrstone, I demand it; I shall be with you in your journeys. We shall venture together. I know the Plateau. I know the edges of the Zephyr Steppes, the cliffs of the Reedcleft Ascent, the vicious winds of the Twisting Crescendo, and the kites of the Cloudsong." her eyes shined of pride and desire. Zephyrstone would've been attacked, lost, and killed without Lakereeds.
"I am a fool, Lakereeds, for coming out this far alone. Let us find a lair together." Zephyrstone got up, pearl by his side, looking at the distance. "May the Windsinger give us hope."
