Houdini was an adolescent adoptee from another clan. The Matriarch saw it fitting to have yet another dark-coloured dragon in the clan, naturally to please the Shadowbinder. But most court members also know that the Matriarch simply gets bored after a while without new faces. Enter Houdini, a young dragon who claims that entertainment is his dream, and that he likes pulling rabbits out of hats above everything else! The fellow's brash confidence drew the attention of two notable members of the Wisp Court - Cicero the eloquent jester and Raistlin the local magician grump. At first, the two rivalled and fought over who would be the mentor of this new arrival, but after Houdini managed to prank them both by throwing a bucketful of greatshell slime during their most heated argument, they both decided to contribute to raising this mischievous boy. Cicero gave him his tailcoat and taught him to play healthier and less destructive pranks, and also how to act on stage. Raistlin passed on his illusion magic, necessary to carry out magician performances. Houdini inadvertently created the most unlikely friendship between the flamboyant Cicero and the cold Raistlin. Now those two dragons are more close than anyone would ever have guessed, all thanks to one stubborn Houdini who just really wanted to better his skills.
