History xxDeep within the twisted caverns of the Druidkeep Den, beyond the mossy walls and blooming wildflowers, is the place where the earth meets the sky. If you listen close, and the time is right, you can hear a simple melody drifting through the sun-kissed air. Atop the Sunroof rests a gentle soul, a day-dreaming dragon who hums to herself all day, spinning tales of distant wars and far-off worlds beyond the horizon, places she could only dream of going. xxPerhaps, if she’s lucky, a hummingbird or nightjar will perch next to her, whistling along to the tune of the song she weaves. Her music paints glorious pictures in one’s mind- crystal-tipped trees embedded in amethyst plains, raging hail-storms and rivers of lava, three-headed beasts that ravage the earth, pillars so tall they scrape the very sky. But a dragon so timid as her could never possibly make the journey to bear witness to such wonders- she hardly leaves her nest, to speak nothing of traveling across the world! How can she sing such vivid stories when she herself has barely ventured beyond the confines of her home? xxRylese is much more than meets the eye. Although she is meek and humble, she hides a secret far more fascinating than any of her clan members could dream to understand. xxThe language of the Beastclans is a tongue unspoken by most of dragonkind, which keeps the opposing tribes forever warring for dominance over the other. But Rylese has a unique, innate ability to communicate with any creature she wishes, allowing her to hear tales of a world beyond the furthest limits of her imagination from the animals who have experienced it firsthand. xxHer clanmates know not if this is a trait she was born with, or perhaps learned somehow from the beasts she tends to surround herself with - and though she is considered something of a hermit by the rest of the Druidkeep Clan, she knows more about the vast tales of the outside world than any of her peers. And so, with nothing else to do with her knowledge but share it, |
xxEach time a beast that dwells within the den's walls is stricken with wanderlust, the mythos of it's adventures is spun into a jovial song, which eventually shall wander even beyond the borders of the clan...
