Biography
Everything was about fire… fire, ashes and death. The teachings were dark and the clan foreboding as they wandered their flaming wasteland. But where others saw death she saw life… In Aquila’s thoughtful eyes all held a unique spark of energy which helped to guide them through their restless lives. If all became ashes then all returned to the minerals and earth below to nourish it… and as such, every dragon and hatchling in existence returned to the earth and completed their great role in the circle of life.
“It’s not like I’m hurting anyone” she giggled joyously as the fire twirled around her spiraling body. The Nature dragons nearby clearly on edge from the unpredictable bouts of flame.
“You’re playing, with fire!” one of them snapped back with a tone of concern as she giggled once more.
“I know, Isn’t it such a wonderful feeling!? To be playing with the fiery flames, to dance with the dangers of the world and risk a few singes among the fiery seas? If one will not take these chances, then how can one say they have ever lived?” Aquila’s tone was enthusiastic as she danced beneath the stars of the Tangled Woods atop a gorgeous display of embers, flowers and flames. It felt so wonderful to twirl the fire about her as others stared in awe from the safety and comfort of their seats.
Tossing up the branch with flames on each end she twirled around it three times as the branch spun in place before it was once again snatched away into her daintily vicious claws. The fire roared upward in a flaming eruption before embers gently blew in the wind and created a sparkling display that faded out into a bright waterfall. The crackling of the fire filled the air and the music blared loudly throughout the woods as the modern beat drummed her ears…
If only her parents knew, if only they could see, that this life was so much more than the final embrace of death.
