Biography

During his last moments in life, Treason told Nudeldraken what he was: A Parasite. When he came of age, he too would feel the urge - irresistable - to breed and spread the infection. He'd seed his eggs with the virus that ruled his father, and once those eggs would hatch, he'd pass his tale on, and he'd die a joyous death, having fulfilled his purpose.

The speech had been a truly inspiring one, resonating deeply with Nudeldraken's sense of purpose. He thanked his father with a kiss, before setting into the world, determined to fulfill his role in creation, and wreak havoc on the healthy. It didn't take him long to woo and seduce a beautiful young tundra girl. They nested, and upon the hatching of the eggs, Nudeldraken withered away, fulfilment of his desire making him go peacefully.

Unbeknonwst to him, his very existence had a profound effect on his 'mate'. She too, withered away, all her energy leeched from her very body. This left their now-heritage-less hatchlings confused and alone. Their only chance was to go out into the world and try to find somewhere to get food, unknowning of what they were, what real dragons were, and what the difference between the two creatures were.

After ambling around the world in confusion, Tod was snapped up by a scientist team stationed in Light Flight. One of the Flight's members volunteered to keep him company, and it was with her he later laid a nest. His subsequent death didn't come as a surprise to her, parasites had come across the lair before, and instead his five egg nest became an opportunity for scientific research. The clan could establish that the parasite DNA seemed to become active only during the last month of incubation - two eggs were lost during the research, but their sacrifice were well worth it in the name of knowledge and truth.

One day, Specimen Two was aroused from sleep as she was settled into a shipping container and flew across the Realm to an small Arcane clan. She had heard stories of being abandoned within certain clans but what greeted her to this place was soft smiles of two mostly white Tundras.
"Well aren't you a cute one." The older of the two, Pillowfort, lifted Specimen Two from the cushioned crate, "You will fit right in with the other hatchlings."
Hatchlings--she wasn't an experiment?
"Now let's settle her in with Sage for now with her new babes while I attain more information about this strange condition."
The younger tundra, Isabelle, nodded and lifted Specimen Two to between her shoulders. "I'll ask Erebus if he has any documentation in his collection while I am there."
Looking back at the little Spiral, "We will give a better name too once you are old enough."
Specimen looked away shyly, then spoke softly, "Can I be named
Pearl?"
A bright smile spread across Isabella's face, "Pearl is a beautiful name."

Eric waved goodbye to his mom as she left with a cream tundra to the Observatory high above them. His father, Milton had told him that she would be able to find a better treatment with the Arcanist. His brothers had been sent to another deity, but since he was the frailest of the three boys, he stayed home. The dark Imperial had come by the house and he heard snippets that the string of parasite within him had mutated into a stronger line and now was running rampant among other lairs.
Irene took samples of blood and shed scales to find an answer to this sudden mutation, but as for Eric he was in as safe as an environment as he could be. Irene even became his new adopted mother figure as he showed interest in medicine.

Nutmeg has always been a happy little noodle. She always tried to put a smile on her mother’s face since her father, Eric, passed away suddenly. Her great aunt, Irene, reassured them that it was not from the parasitic presence in his system, but overall frailty he dealt with all his life. She loved helping her mother collect herbs, and with the stout genetic combination, she did not inherit the frailty her father had. Time stretches on as no word of a cure for the parasitic invasion continues.

Memesnek enjoys a good joke. Whether it was her cheerful outlook on life or her stout health, Irene was surprised to find that the after her first hatchlings, all signs of the parasite vanished from her system. This might be the breakthrough that they were looking for.

Unfortunately, her first nesting was a single egg and it seemed that the hatchling, Chloe, was fragile like her grandfather, Eric. Even though it felt like they finally took two steps forward in the right direction; they were shoved back seven...

Aci was a cute little bundle of green and brown that was lovingly pick up by an unusual companion, a grey tundra named Vinny. He doted on the little spiral and she grew up surrounded by love and snuggles. It was a sad parting for them both as she floated up to the top of the Observatory, leaving behind four hatchlings.

YOU HAVE OBTAINED THE PARASITE7A9gVkU.jpg
Something is... off... about the hatchling you've just found. It smells wrong, and something about the way it looks is setting off warning bells in your mind....

Welcome to the Parasite Introduction! This is a game to see how far the bloodlines of these dragons spread through breeding a single nest and then being exalted. This dragon may look like a perfectly normal dragon of its kind, but it is, in fact, not a dragon at all. It is a parasitic creature that enters dragon eggs and replaces the dragon within. The parasite takes the form of the hatchling and hatches in its place. It will then flee the nest (via being sold) and find a new nest where it will attempt to breed with a dragon and start the cycle again. After breeding, the parent parasite dies (via exalting), and a single hatchling becomes a new parasite.

Parasite from Lineage Four

LORE

The Fourth line of parasites can be found far and wide on Sornieth. Unusually blessed with large nests and hardy hatchlings, this lineage spread quicker than the other two remaining lines. This proved to be the lineage's downfall. Being so large, each generation diluted the bloodline further and further, and eventually the bountiful nests turned sickly, and only one hatchling per nest became a parasite. Observers theorize this is nature's way of curbing the previously uncontrollable expansion of the parasite dragons, and they theorize that the other lines may also develop mutations to control their spread...

HOW TO PLAY THE GAME

Once you have this dragon, you must breed it with another dragon in your lair. After its offspring are hatched, you'll copy all of the text in the parent parasite's description into ONLY ONE of the hatchlings' bios/descriptions. Then you'll exalt the parent parasite (this doesn't include the other dragon you bred it with as they are not part of the game). The parasite offspring must then be sold so the cycle can continue. Once you have hatched the nest, or sold the parasite, please post here so we can keep track of where the parasite is spreading. It is also a way for other players to obtain more parasites.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PARTICIPATE. Participating in this game requires the parent parasite being exalted. If you do not wish to participate, please send a message to @Niathria and remove the bio from the dragon. The dragon will be logged as unsuccessful and will be removed from the game. Its hatchlings will not be able to participate either.

RULES
  • Parasites must be bred immediately and then must be exalted once their nest has hatched. The hatched parasite must be spread to others through trades or the AH as soon as possible. The only way out of this is if the dragon is being used in a breeding project. After the desired hatchling is hatched, you must exalt the parent and the rest of the hatchlings.
  • The parasite must have the parasite information found in their bio/description.
  • Please do not breed parasites with other parasites.
  • Any parasite that is not exalted after breeding is considered exalted. Any offspring after the first nest are to be ignored by the game. No ifs, ands, or buts.
