The Nature dragons snapped their heads up, their shock quickly morphing into terror as the statue spread its wings. With a roar, the statue leapt upon the dragons. All it had ever known was war. It was built on the site of a famous battle, and the terror and fury had soaked into the land and ultimately into the Pearlcatcher statue atop the hill. Still, all he could do for years was watch as the guards of the site trained themselves and ran down intruders. They never went all the way, never killed a dragon. But this half-statue did. Born of the ideals of war, he showed no mercy as he pounced upon the guards, his half-petrified body barreling into them with shocking force.

After escaping from the site, the half-statue traveled the world. He learned of peace and love, and he felt his first hints of remorse for the murders he’d committed before. The half-statue fled, as quickly as his semi-stone body would allow, masking himself and trying to blend with other Clans as his guilt gnawed at him, tearing him from the inside out.
