History xxJellyfish was borne to a clan of murderers. xxFrom a hatchling, he was told tales of conquest, stories of slaughtering innocents to prove something. xx"That will be you, one day!", all the elders would repeat to him. A mantra that he could not escape. He knew he didn't have it in him to truly hurt anything, however; and so the charade began. xxWhenever he was sent out for hunt, he would dig up fresh carcasses and bring those back as meals, gathering with his fellow cannibals to feast on a dragon who had died not by another monster's claws. xxWith children he was expected to be cruel, awful, hiss horrendous things to them, but his heart couldn't bear the act; instead, he would scare them, holding his claws out and opening his jaws wide to show off his fangs. It worked every time. xxHe had been managing well, he had seen no true flaw in his way... until he happened upon a quaint little clan in the nature flight. An argument gone wrong, he had told them; in reality, he had simply gotten lost. He was invited to rest, and has never left since. xxNone of his mates are aware of his past, the horrid things he had done... and it was perfect that way. |

Age // 108 -- Birthday // may 7th Occupation // gardener and forager Role // food hoard manager Personality // in front of most of the clan jellyfish is dark and brooding, scaring the hatchlings with his intimidating aura. however, his mates know the truth; jellyfish is incredibly sensitive just like his namesake. he enjoys having the hatchlings around and adores everything his mates do. their companionship has allowed him to let go of the mask he's worn for so long and actually live. -- Likes // alone time in his garden, watching the hatchlings play, flowers -- Dislikes // crowds, meat (cannibalism will do that to you), those stupid little aphids that keep infesting his plants Familiar // REAPER -- Role of familiar // initially given to jellyfish as a symbol of protection, not even intended to necessarily become a companion. his mother used to tell him that jellyfish could always eat reaper if he didn't want him. at first reaper was wary around him, but once he noticed the dragon pulling his punches and going easy on the children, he grew to trust jellyfish with his life. since the hatchlings are too scared of jellyfish for him to play with them, reaper spends as much time as possible around them so he can recount their antics to his dragon. |
