» about : Splendence is the Oracle of Future and a priestess of Antigone.

Her power is to see potential happy futures for dragons. This power works better on younger dragons and while she doesn't see the steps it would take to get there, her wisdom and years (centuries?) of experience allows her to give good advice to those whose future she scries. She and her mate never had children, and Splendence says this is why she feels protective with younger dragons.

Splendence is gregarious, talkative, friendly, and very vain. She talks in a super old-fashioned manner (think the equivalent of Shakespearean English) which is sometimes not understandable. Shes the ditzy genius trope: everyone knows how smart she is, but she often acts silly.

» headcanons :
  • Human equivalent age: unknown, definitely VERY old but looks to be in her early 20s
  • Her patron deity is Antigone
  • Splendence and Vespertine are the last of the original followers of Antigone. This is suspicious to Libane and Snowcrash because they both know the religion died out centuries ago. How these two are still alive and what happened to the rest of the followers is something she and Vespertine won't reveal.
  • The younger dragons in the clan have a fun game of guessing how old she is. Splendence gets very self conscious when they guess an old age.
