Biography
Something lurks beneath the palace.
The times of peace are coming to an end.
Something shivers beneath the palace.
The magic surges, and deities disappear.
One by one,
We think they'll return,
Another one gone.
Skies burn and spirits run amok,
And a horrible war arises between mighty empires,
All falls to dust.
"No, no, no, no," the ancient beast rushed through the tunnels, following inky black claw marks etched into the stone.
"By Icewarden, no." consumed by the fear of letting the horror escape, she had forgotten her surroundings. She stood outside now, the snow as cold as it ever was…
The Seeker order might be there to catch whatever horrors and criminals had slipped past the Sentries, but the shame of letting such a beast was too much for her to bear. It was her fault, and she was going to retrieve the creature.
A frigid blast returned her thoughts to the real world. The entrance of the gaoul was a frozen cliff, icicles triple the size of her own antlers protruding from the cracks in the stone.
The sooty tracks zig-zagged through the snow, a foolish attempt to mislead her.... Even though the empty plains made it so that she could not be misled.
The stench of the Shade was still strong. She must go. And go she did.
Days and nights passed, and the beast still evaded her. For the first time in ages she was tired. Tired to the point she could not go on, just fall to the ground and sleep.
Snow fell as she slept, covering her in a white blanket. Nothing more could be seen than her antlers protruding from the mound like two very strange tree-branches.
