Biography
Felix flew closer to the mysterious dragon, wondering if it could possibly be him. He could vaguely recall how he had looked like, body of segmented golden metal, runes scrawled across his body. He had been the second version, Felix being the first.
Felix could remember the first day he had opened his eyes as his new self, gingerly testing out his limbs, a mechanical whirr in the background.
Brushing the green goop off from him, Felix could remember the last thing he’d seen, his beloved home burning to the ground. His mother calling out to him, urging him to run away, lest they come for him. A towering shadow before him. It had been too late.
Chasing away the memories, Felix stood up, wondering how he could still possibly be alive after that. After such a brutal fight. Surveying his limbs, he was surprised to see that they didn’t seem to be his own. Gleaming metallically in the harsh green light, they seemed unfamiliar, glowing eerily in the dark room.
A voice echoed through the room, sending shivers down his spine.
So you’re up.
The memory still gave him chills to this day. Shaking off the eerie feeling that had dawned upon him, Felix focused on the task at hand- trailing the dragon in front of him.
Landing lightly among the thick undergrowth, Felix felt uncomfortable yet again, among so many natural plants, his unnatural body stuck out like a sore talon. Of course, the dragon in front of him seemed to, as well.
Felix was about to call out to him, when the dragon whirled around, eyes gleaming the color of lightning.
Snarling the dragon advanced, revealing his teeth. This indeed seemed to be the dragon, "Version 2", as he had been called.
“Number 2..?” He cried out in surprise. A flicker of recognition flashed across the other’s face, and he growled softly, a deep rumble of faint awknowledgment.
So it was him.
“Hey..” he called out, “So you don’t have a name yet?” It seemed like the other had broke free shortly before they met, seemingly unused to his newfound freedom.
“Come with me. We’ll find a clan together,” he pleaded awkwardly, glancing at the dragon, his twin, his only family.
“If no one else will take us in, we can keep each other company.”
