The clan was in absolute shambles. Not for reason of attack or war, though those would be more easily explained—no, it was all because of Thor (and for once not his brother). The clan's best scavengers and scouts searched frantically in each nook and cranny for the god's beloved Mjöllnir, the only tool capable of containing Thor’s godly strength; the powerful hammer had been gone for roughly a week now, and everyone suffered for it. No matter how they tried to contain Thor's clumsiness, confining him to padded rooms or iron cells, he miraculously managed to destroy even the most indestructible things.

The queen had been interrogating the bogsneak for hours. For the time being, they had managed to restrict him to a cotton padded cell, but there was no telling how long it would last. "You have no idea where you last saw it? None at all?"

Thor hums ponderously between bites of his meal. His posture is relaxed, almost cozy—nothing like the chaos that reigns outside as dragons attempt to repair their broken workspaces. "Perhaps I misplaced it by the river the other day," he says, "You see, Benzaiten and I were on a lovely outing... have you ever noticed just how beautiful she is? She was singing this wonderful tune—"

"Thor!" Athena snaps. The shout startles the god, who topples over in his lounge chair, his lunch flying into the air and landing on the floor with an unceremonious splat. "Yes, Benzaiten is a lovely dragon," the spiral says, "and she's going to be very upset when she returns home to all of the damage you've caused."

"Me? Upset?" A voice sounds from the hall. The voice is accompanied by a soft melodic hum, and both Athena and Thor recognize its owner immediately.

"Thor, darling, you left Mjöllnir in my travel bag~" Benzaiten sings as she waltzes into the room. She places the hammer on the table, and the impressive tool makes the wood bend and creak with its weight. "I returned as soon as I saw it. I hope you didn't miss it."

"I did," Athena mutters, followed by a deep, relieved sigh. "Well, I'll be gone then. Thor, do see to it that everything gets fixed. Please."

Thor's hearty chuckle haunts the exasperated leader as she departs. Once she's gone, he nuzzles his snout lovingly with his mate's, and thanks her for returning Mjöllnir to his side.

"Finally!" he roars. Thor lifts his hammer up triumphantly and basks in the admiring gaze of his mate. "They haven't let me do a single thing since you've been gone, and I've been very bored... though the food has been delicious. Let's get to work!"

So long as Mjöllnir stays in his hands, Thor serves as the clan’s chief protector and engineer. His impeccable eye for craftsmanship helps him to build all of the clan's spires and dungeons, while his power over lightning and thunder keeps the buildings powered and (perhaps more importantly) cooled. When the clan faces danger, Thor protects his clan mates with unwavering loyalty and bravery. The other gods can’t help but to admire him for his vast talents and cheerful disposition.

When Mjöllnir is lost or misplaced—that is quite another story. Though Thor’s noble and helpful intentions never stray, the god does rely on his magical hammer to keep his strength and coordination in check. Without it, Thor is prone to accidents, ranging from a mistaken spill of a drink to an accidental crash into the clan’s central power bank. It's hard to fault the clumsy god for it; after all, once his hammer is back in his grasp, he has no qualms about rebuilding what was lost.

Though a busy dragon, Thor always makes time for himself to enjoy life's finer moments. He enjoys raiding the clan fridge for all sorts of delicacies, or having a jolly chat with any other dragon who comes his way. Of course, his finest joy is his wonderful mate Benzaiten. Thor's clumsy antics make the goddess giggle to no end, and her laugh... well, it's like music to his ears.
