- - - Dawn's egg was left abandoned after her nest was attacked and its protectors slain. However, thankfully she was discovered by a swarm of veilspun. Without even a bit of hesitation, the small dragons banded together to roll the solitary egg back to their home and hatch it as though it were one of their own. And when the little skydancer hatched, she hardly knew anything was off, adapting completely and immediately to the nature of her adoptive family. Even after picking up on the fact that she was a different species than they were, she cared not; she was simply happy that they had taken her in. - - - Finding and joining the Starswept Clan was quite a fluke and accident. While out on a journey with some of her veilspun friends to gather herbs from other Flight territories, the lot of them were quickly submerged in an unnatural darkness--night!--in what should have been in the middle of the day. And while the group was used to navigating in the darkness of the Tangled Wood, the Starwood Strand by comparison seemed to take them in circles under the stars above them. It was only when a rather eccentric fae found them that they were able to travel clearly again, for she was stringing up lights to follow all the way back to her clan's lair. |
- - - Learning of the strange eternal night that was plaguing the Starswept Clan, Dawn found herself drawn to the mystery of it all, along with quite of a few of the veilspun that accompanied her. With the permission of the leaders from both clans, she and her friend Amaia officially joined the Starswept to learn about the anomaly and aid in their quest to disperse it. - - - Since joining, she has helped many of the magic users of the clan further their research greatly by being able to gather rarer herbs and other materials. Often she takes trips out to gather and also check up on her family while she's out. But always does the Starswept compel her back, not only because of the mystery, but also because of the stalwart friends she's made while there. And in between trips, she is more than content to stay in the Starlight Garden, tending a small tea shop for all that reside inside. |
