Stern, courageous, surefooted
Jungles and marshes are treacherous places for the dragons of the Empyreal clan. The trees and fog are too dense to approach most of them from the air, but at the ground level are deadly creatures, hunting snares, and poor terrain. Crossing them is a nightmare for the uninitiated. Bogsneaks are the masters of these lands, but their natures are ill-suited for patiently leading others around. Thankfully, the Empyreal employ a much more considerate guide for these harsh conditions.
When their warriors or researchers travel these climates, Sable always leads the way. She can recognize hazards that most would blunder into and helps her party avoid hostile natives. Her keen sense of smell helps her recognize hazards and remember landmarks.
Depending on the time of year and locale, her furry coat can be a burden. She keeps it cropped short to reduce overheating. This works out oddly when she journeys through higher altitudes or autumn marshes: she has to wear a jacket to stay warm!
Ironically, Sable feels no draw to the chilly Southern Icefield and is happy to let Sierra handle guide duties there. She hates how her sense of smell is dulled in cold climates. Her ideal paradise is immersion in the scent of mud, rain, and plants.
