Lorvicca

Lorvicca Fisherdrake - The Fool Lorvicca is the child of a deep water dragon and a dragon bonded to a Water sprite, born in a Water nest in a tidepool by the Sea. All this has managed to finally produce a Ridgeback who is completely at home with and even very happy with being underwater. Lorvicca is clan-born and extremely friendly with everyone he meets, full of exuberant energy. He has a problem sitting still and listening to anything, and is not perhaps the shiniest coin in the hoard. Other dragons have learned to dodge his affectionate embraces, face bumps, and paw pats, as he constantly forgets his own strength and size. His thoughtless nature doesn't lend itself well to any clan responsibilities, but Lorvicca serves the clan well as a fisherdrake, his athleticism and boundless energy allowing him to spend most of his day constantly fishing, eagerly delivering his catch to the shore or directly to dragons' undersea dens. He specialises in large, fast fish that are a meal on their own, such as bass, sharks, and gar.

History: Lorvicca was a lone egg clutch, but hatched together with the orphan egg of the Fae Ayaspin, known as Pin. He considers her his 'big' sister, following her advice and commands probably a little too faithfully. They are often seen together when at Shore, with Pin perched silently on Lorvicca's head or spines. The War was a time of great upset for Lorvicca, but he recovered quickly and though it is a time full of sad memories he doesn't dwell on them much.

Physical: Lorvicca is a small, lean Ridgeback with modest spines. His glittering flanks and belly recall strongly the hide of a dolphin or shark, and are very smooth. He is a poor and unstable flier, flapping in a panicked fashion and preferring to glide and land on the water like a duck. When swimming he uses his wings to suddenly change direction and power through the water in shimmering loops like a Spiral, using his lance to stun and isolate small prey as a swordfish does. He is quite capable of going to deep waters and will do so for squid and deep schooling fish, but usually prefers to hang out in the pelagic zones, where he can easily see the prey he chases.

It has been noted before that Lorvicca's perpetually youthful vigour is a little odd for his age. Certainly he seems to have a powerful life force; he heals at a very fast rate and almost never gets sick, even when he eats something he probably shouldn't have.

Familiar: Originally, Lorvicca and his seal friend were about the same size. As a hatchling he swam and played with the fluffy seal, grabbing onto its chilly mane with his teeth and learning how to swim. Now they are still the very closest of friends, but Lorvicca dwarfs the seal enormously. He still swims with it all the time, but has a tendency to forget he is no longer seal sized when following it through rocks and sunken bones. More than once he's had to be rescued from seal sized gaps, stuck there with his recursive spines and howling miserably. Lorvicca just refers to his familiar as "Seal", and while it cannot speak and doesn't seem to be any different from a regular cumulus seal it is fiercely loyal to the Shore and fought angrily against the enemy during the Swords War.

Ayaspin: Pin the Fae is Lorvicca's sister, though they aren't related by blood. Being not very bright he relies on her for any sort of difficult decision or initiative. "I'll ask Pin." and "Pin says:" are very common phrases from Lorvicca, and if she tells him a thing it's near impossible to talk him into the opposite. He loves his sister very much and his brotherly affection for her seems to be one of the few things capable of occasionally melting Pin's frigid, weird demeanour.

Family: Both of Lorvicca's parents are huge warrior dragons: Vaskip is the clan's champion and warrior leader, and Lorvicca finds her ferocity incredibly intimidating. He looks up to her strength but doubts he could ever be so great and respected and thus does not feel very motivated to try. He tends to stammer meekly when speaking with her. Lorvicca's father Amiyen used to be on polite friendly terms with his son and Lorvicca looked up to his dedication to the clan. With Amiyen's betrayal Lorvicca is in denial: Previously he wanted to believe that his father hadn't really betrayed the clan, and now he wants to avoid thinking of the whole ordeal altogether. Bringing the subject up around him will cause him to awkwardly bluster away to do something else. Lorvicca does not have the patience or sense of responsibility for nesting, and his only mortal child is Moray, of the Bone Collector clan.
