Philena is a teacher that specializes in educating younger fledglings in Astéri Sōlis. Part of her house serves as the school building itself, and she lives in the upstairs along with her adopted children, Morpho and Ivory.

She's an excellent wordsmith, able to articulate even more complex ideas in a way that young ones can comprehend. Of course, Philena focuses on the essentials rather than harder topics, but is open to discuss almost anything a fledgling may inquire about. Her calming, yet compelling demeanor gets the attention of even the rowdiest student.

Aside from her teaching duties, she spends her free time reading and learning more about all of the corners of Sornieth. When she can, she heads to the college in Astéri Lune to commune with the scholars there. She also dabbles in gardening, growing some of her and her kids' favorite flowers.

While she's very even-tempered and serene, Philena can become very passionate about her topics of interest. She can ramble for hours about the history of and various cultures found in the world, the types of creatures living in each area, and even mythology. While this is fine in her classroom, many know not to get her started if they just wish for a quick conversation.

Her kids arrived to the clan in need of someone to care for them, and she happily stepped in. Morpho came first, and Ivory a while later. Philena works hard to not only take care of them, but make sure they're well versed in the ways of the world. They both can be rambunctious, but she can get them to settle down if even just for a little while.
