Biography
Not all Endings are death, but some of them are. Scripture is at every death, in his way: at the edge of things, there and gone. Reaper is the god who stays. Reaper is the god who speaks to the dying and the dead, who gives them what they need. Sometimes that means escorting them on a silent journey to the Next Place, keeping them company without intruding on their grief. Sometimes it means singing songs of comfort and hope, familiar songs. Sometimes it means telling them stories of rebirth, of souls coming back to this world again. Sometimes it means a quiet promise that there is nothing more after this: that they are done, and can rest.
Almost everything Reaper ever says to the dead is a lie, in its way, but the lies are kind ones. Reaper couldn't tell you what comes Next; she's never been there. She might ferry the dead to the doors out of this world, but when those doors open, what lies beyond is black as pitch to Reaper, like a curtain has been drawn across her eyes. The dead see...something. Reaper doesn't.
Still, who wants to hear that? Maybe none of it is true. Maybe all of it is. There's only one god who could give Reaper the answer, and she'll certainly never ask him. Sometimes the cost of the truth is too high.
In a pantheon of young gods, Reaper is the gentle god of Death, who lies to the dead, and sends them on their way.
Circle: Second. Draws her power from the gods of Endings, Decay, and TRUTH.
