Things were simple with this one. He was a pack animal, akin to a lion like his mother, and his days in the forest consisted of hunting and napping and perhaps hunting once more until one day, his instincts told him that this place was no longer suitable for him. He had consumed all he could of the forest's magic that would be beneficial to him and with that came the desire to move on to another location, more rich in magic than this quickly decomposing forest could ever be for him. So it was then that he chose to leave his small "pride" behind him and search for something new. A new pride of his own or one to follow upon, he would decide when he got there. He chose to call the Viridian Labyrinth his new hunting grounds, the bountiful prey and coverage was quite appealing. He tried to use the typical transportation of dragon society to get there from the Sunbeam Ruins, but the exasperating journey was more than he could handle. No one seemed to look away from his animalistic tendencies and discomfort with large crowds. He simply couldn't complete his journey this way. Catching a train to the ferryport would've saved several days of travel, but it was society's displeasure with Hari that drove him to walking and flying. The first day was simply walking. He set off from his forest home towards the coast. Nothing particularly interesting happened aside from him finding a perfectly intact stone carving of the lightweaver and some imperials. He continued along, catching half a colony of ashfall bats. They were easy prey, and he needed to conserve his energy for the long flight ahead. |
