B I O G R A P H Y

Elsa is, to put it simply, an oddity. Born in the realm of the Icewarden, to two parents of two completely different flights, one would expect Elsa to be a master of ice and snow, right? Wrong. While it's true that she can manipulate the frosty magic of winter with tremendous might, the magic that is her birthright, these abilities terrify her and have been shown to do more damage than she intends, especially given her parents had moved their nest to the Windswept Plateau briefly before they both passed. When her parents died, Elsa's magic spiraled out of control. Hoping to avoid injuring anyone, Elsa fled from the Plateau into the Starfall Isles, which was where she met Morokei, a much older male Skydancer of immense power who was Elsa's saving grace. Together, Morokei and Elsa journeyed to the Southern Icefield where she was born, trekking to the Fortress of Ends seeking answers. Although Elsa still struggles sometimes, her control over her powers are getting stronger.

Elsa excels in alchemy and prefers to keep to herself away from the other members of the clan, as she has a tendency to accidentally unleash an icy blast when scared or stressed. She has a single sister she left behind in the Windsinger's realm, but no one knows much about where she came from otherwise or how and why she left her home and now lives in the realm of the Shadowbinder.

The only one Elsa is comfortable with is Morokei, her mate, and is often seen curled up with him or partially underneath his wings. He is unbothered by any of her abilities and enjoys grooming her. Elsa's gone through several familiars, as some wind up scared of her very easily. Her first familiar was a blob of leftover alchemical residue. It smiled at her, and she couldn't bring herself to throw it away. However, she realized how much Nerien liked it, and how much the blob liked her, and the small glob is now best friends with the hatchling. Elsa's current familiar is the rare and elusive snowflake nymph, said to be a servant of the Icewarden himself. The nymph aids her when she's stressed and helps teach her to control her powers better. The siren sylvan necklace she wears is a courting gift from Morokei; she never takes it off.

P E R S O N A L I T Y

______ Young and somewhat timid, Elsa is a gentle, kind and caring female. She is shy and reserved, and known for keeping her emotions tamped down to avoid dangerous outbursts of her powers, which can lead other dragons to think she's cold, especially when she runs away from conversations in the middle and avoids people. In reality, this is a coping mechanism, and she is actually quite talkative if you get her going on a subject she is comfortable with and enjoys. She surprises many people who see her playful and mischievous side come out with Morokei. If provoked, however, she can and will hurt you, and her strange set of powers leave her a foe to be reckoned with. Elsa is terrified of Arcane dragons; partly because her magic isn't very effective against them, and partly because of some of the studies she was subjected to in the realm of the Arcanist. Elsa is highly protective of any female dragon younger than herself, probably because they remind her of her sister, and she's amazing with babies. She thinks their soft bellies and little faces are adorable, and according to Morokei she wanted 7. (They now have eleven offspring, so she's definitely achieved her goal and then some!) Elsa loves to sing, and has a voice that is said to be beautiful beyond compare. Good luck getting her to sing so you can hear it, though...
