He had lived within this desert kingdom for years, never stepping foot beyond the sea of sand surrounding his home.

It was important to note that prince Calrilius was seen as a responsible dragon. He was considered most likely to inherit the throne out of all his other siblings. For in this kingdom the next ruler was determined by who the ruler thought would be best for the role rather than by who was born first.

So on the day of the prince's wedding-a union that would solidify the kingdoms alliance with a former enemy- the prince's absence alarmed everyone.

There was no doubt about it, Cali must have been kidnapped. And so began the frantic search. guards were sent out and a ludicrously hefty reward offered for anyone who could find and rescue the prince. His siblings were each placed under suspicion of hatching some nefarious plot to get rid of him. Especially with the current ruler's wavering health, the tension over earning the ruler's favour had been high. Each of them had a motive to get rid of their competition.

In reality cali was having way more fun than he should be given how much chaos his disappearance had sent the land into. Here he was, hiking in the middle of nowhere and surviving off of food Cooked over a campfire. Completely enraptured by the idea of going on an adventure with Fio.
