Blighted [Smirch]:
Blighted patterns are the most mystifying of them all, and it visibly shows as the dragons personality seems the most sporadic and uncontrolled. What creates the pattern isn’t apparent, but regardless their are a few speculations, the most common one being that the dragon was given either a poison or lethal potion in order to kill them, creating the strange liquid-like pattern across their bodies. Blighted dragons are the most unstable, known to change personalities nearly every day without them realizing. This can exhaust a Blighted Wight rather easily, making them rest more than others. These dragons need a lot of stability and consistency in their life, as constant change can make their emotions worse. They do however have a knack for predicting peril, whether it be a destructive lair nearby, what food is toxic or if the weather conditions are too treacherous to travel, they have a better chance of preparing than others, making admirable forecasters.

The evening wasn't dark, but it was most definitely silent. Aside of course, from the Crazy Scientist's footsteps, and heavy breathing from the weight of carrying the sickly hatchling. She placed the child down in the centre of a glade, eyes impatiently sparkling in excitement. She has been waiting for this moment for *years*.

"Oh no! It has to be perfect, I need to grab a log to be able to see from the bushes..."

And she walked away in search, missing the smoky entry of the 'Colour Castaway'.

"Ah, hello sweet child. May I ask for your colours for your safe return?"

The child looked round, dazed to suddenly not be in pain anymore. She reached out with her paws, indicating that she wanted to be picked up. The Wildclaw chuckled, and embraced her.

"Trade accepted as well as it can be. May your next life be brighter than this one."

And with that, he was gone, the child lulled to sleep by his voice.

The scientist returned, carrying a bundle of wood, then suddenly dropping them in shock. She had spotted the child sleeping silently, now in the colours of a Wight.

"I- I could have just moved slightly to the right! As if... Ha ha! I see! As if the Colour Castaway anticipated this! Excellent! Magnificent! Such a discovery success!"

The scientist came closer to crouch by the hatchling, checking her over in fascination.

"But a problem, hmmm... What to do with you? They'll be looking, yes... Why didn't I bring you to the healer?"

A terrifying smile broke on her lips as she fumbled through potions in her coat.

"Oh poor child. Maybe you got chased by monsters... Wolves! Maybe I wasn't able to stop them... Maybe... Maybe... I have claw marks all over me... oh, ho, ho, such a shame! A shame!"

The contents of the chosen glass was poured onto the hatchling, and a spell was cast. The dragon had vanished, locked inside a dandelion seed, and puffed into the air, far, far away.

The tiny, fragile seed flew far and wide, over mountains, ice, wastelands, and forests. Once or twice a bird flew by looking for a snack, but the winds took care of her. Nature had taken care of her, and as as the small seed layed gracefully down into The Wilds, it had transformed back into the little dragon, who had awoken more dazed them before. She was covered in dandelion puffs, and surrounded by many murmuring dragons. The little child laughed, and to the question of who she was, she only outstretched her tiny paws and exclaimed:

"Puff!"

_____________

Puff now lives in the clan, safe and sound. Sometimes she gets into a frenzied state, especially early on, because of her Wight nature. But the Wilds are too dangerous a place and a hell to escape from, so her clan managed to save her each time. And this way, the love between them grows stronger day by day.
