When all hope has vanished, and the dragon is unable to cling on for much longer to consciousness, they are said to be blinded by a pure whiteness, followed by what appears to be the silhouette of a Wildclaw, looming over them, believed to appear almost like a figure of authority, or at the very least, in full control of the current situation. The Wildclaw, dubbed as “The Colour Castaway” is alleged to speak to them with a whimsical voice, offering them a pact to bring the dragon back to life, in return for their colour pigments. Most Wights suspect it is “The Colour Castaway’s” own tongue, one that only they know, while others deem it to be an ancient language, lost to time itself, and a few even believe it’s a combination of both. Marked Wights are perceived as the more hostile or at the very least, easier to provoke out of all the patterns. They can be quite skilled hunters when they manage to keep calm, using their pattern as a great camouflage. Repeatedly fleeing from others sight, Pathwalkers are some of the fastest Wights, so afraid that they will be seen as repulsive looking that they continually travel. On the other hand, once a Pathwalker finds a dwelling that they feel secure in, they will settle down permanently, and soon their pessimism turns into constantly gleaming optimism, becoming one of the most happiest and affectionate types of Wight when exposed to love. They never forget other’s love, and it clearly shows over time. Those that bare this pattern is believed to be fanatical about “The Colour Castaway”, treating them like a deity, with others even saying they have a “cult” like approach. Forbidden Wights are obsessed with monochrome dragons, and despise those that have colour, seeing the only dragon that should be colourful is their “leader”. Though most are stable, some have been notorious to turn against other dragons within a lair, causing these Wights to be a concern, though this is only a very small percentage. Some speculate that the Forbidden pattern is how all Wights will turn into gradually, though no evidence supports this. Assumed to be caused when the dragon has a superior position than others in a lair, Exquisite dragons favour remaining inside a clan, preferring others to do their labour, making them good organizers. Although, for all this confidence and self pride, they are known to become quickly envious of those that have brighter colours than them, or easily insecure, always yearning to look better than everyone else. What creates the pattern isn’t apparent, but regardless their are a few speculations, the most common one being that the dragon was given either a poison or lethal potion in order to kill them, creating the strange liquid-like pattern across their bodies. Blighted dragons are the most unstable, known to change personalities nearly every day without them realizing. This can exhaust a Blighted Wight rather easily, making them rest more than others. These dragons need a lot of stability and consistency in their life, as constant change can make their emotions worse. They do however have a knack for predicting peril, whether it be a destructive lair nearby, what food is toxic or if the weather conditions are too treacherous to travel, they have a better chance of preparing than others, making admirable forecasters. They are said to be the most distant and detached, and find themselves often misinterpreted by others. They cherish lives more than most dragons even if they don’t feel complete themselves, and do their best to make the most of the lives they have. They are said to be the most stable of all patterns, rather strong and resilient to whatever life throws at them, despite the fact that they still maintain a rather pacifist lifestyle. Faded wights are seen to be more mature and stable compared to the others, typically making the dragon seem older and wiser. These dragons are fantastic at being teachers or tutors, as they're more knowledgeable nature allows them to lecture those embarking on perilous journeys. However, Faded pattern Wights are the most likely to leave a clan without a word of warning, know to vanish when no one is aware to find their meaning in life, regardless of any sentimental attachments or relationships. These dragons are said to be actually more neutral than passive like the other patterns, meaning if endangered, they are prepared to defend themselves or others if needs be. For what courage they have though, it’s contradicted by their communication skills, and it appears that they are able to get on with other Wights that have the opposite colours of them, such as lights and darks or pastels and neons much easier than other patterns. Depending on the kind of pattern can also influence the apparel that the dragon wears. Crystal Carriers and Dreameaters that involve imagination are also a ideal companion as well as Familiars that take pleasure in travelling, such as Melon Marzals and Wandering Surgepriests. Lastly, though not a universal favourite, some Wights have manage to befriend those that was about to consume their body just before meeting the mysterious Wildclaw.
