A brash, blunt fighter, Nokk took to her training under Riptide like - well, like a water dragon to water. Nokk was born in a nearby clan to Cassus, the mother of the Prince and his siblings. Along with her twin brother, Nack, she was sent to the Deepwing Clan at a very young age and raised alongside the other hatchlings there.

Shortly after the closure of the yearly Thundercrack Carnivale in 2019, Nokk was sent to aid the town of Greenstone in the Verdant Edge, where she aided in the retrieval of a stolen Fire sprite from a band of BeastClan warriors. The quest brought her into conflict with Plague and at one point carried three of her unconscious comrades to safety across a field of wrathful Contagion. It was on this adventure that she met Ambrose, an Earth dragon of noble birth.

This would only be the start of her adventures, however - later, she would be brought to Yeheg and subjected to the twisting horrors of the place, then later she would set sail with her companions across the Worldsea to defeat Majesty, an Emperor of untold power who had regained the power of speech. The journey changed Nokk much: she and Ambrose proposed to each other, and in the final battle against Majesty, Nokk's wings were damaged permanently.

Upon her return to Sornieth with her new wife, Nokk found her clan in shambles. A coup had taken place; the nefarious Lady Black, longtime co-conspirator of the dread Langhar, had staged a coup and executed the rightful queen, Agharna. As if that wasn't enough, an Emperor had risen from the bodies of Langhar and Isangelous, the latter a one-time servant of Majesty themselves.

Nokk and Ambrose worked to fight against the new Emperor, Vengeance, and rallied Nokk's remaining clanmates to their banner. Together, they drove Vengeance through the Twisting Maw and out of the Sea of a Thousand Currents for good, in a battle where Nokk personally broke the antlers off of Langhar's head. Then, they returned to the Leviathan Trench to unset Lady Black and her remaining supporters and free Prima and Aquilla, who had been imprisoned by Lady Black.

Still, the clan was in tatters. With Agharna dead, there was no clear leader. Succession might have fallen to Pelagius, her consort, if he cared to claim it, but he was ashamed of his uselessness against Vengeance and stood aside. Aquilla, his daughter, had unwittingly aided Lady Black's takeover and would not take the throne. With the only other candidate - Aquilla's brother Abyssus - having abdicated long ago to serve as the ambassador to the Nature flights, the crown fell to Nokk. Langhar's horns were added to the crown to symbolize Nokk's defeat of the horrid Emperor.

The Queen is dead. Long live the Queen.

Some time after her ascension, Nokk and Ambrose took a trip to Dragonhome to help defend Ambrose's family from increased Beastclan activity. When they arrived, they found that a local Serthis clan was going through a more violent upheaval than usual, and it was making the surrounding clans unsafe. Nokk, Ambrose, and their guards - Stormcrash, Mistrune, Ripper, and Prima - helped drive a faction of Serthis away from Ambrose's old clan. When the fighting was over, Ambrose and Nokk discovered an unhatched fire egg. Nearby was a dead skydancer who had been slain by the Serthis only moments before Nokk and Ambrose had arrived.

The pair immediately rescued the egg and returned to Ambrose's clan, where it was quickly discovered that no dragon there was prepared to take on an egg. Ambrose quickly decided that they would care for the egg themselves, and prepared to return to the Sea.

On the journey home, the egg hatched, revealing a frail, sickly tundra chick. Worried about the consequences of bringing a fire hatchling to the Sea, especially one so young and ill, Ambrose diverted the party to the Ashfall Waste, where she tended to the hatchling - named Albertine - until it recovered. Mistrune and Stormcrash were sent back to the clan to inform them of the new development, while Ripper and Prima stayed behind with the Queens.

Eventually, Albertine was well enough to make the journey home, and the rest of the party returned to the Leviathan Trench. Albertine is now the adopted son of Nokk and Ambrose, although Sunset is still the Heir.
