Named after a hypothetical form of matter that makes up about 85% of matter in the Universe at 1/4 the total energy density. I gave him Capsule and Glowing eyes on 24/05/19.
Well, I bought a Naomi descendant it seems. This guy’s 4th Gen on his Ma’s side and 8th on his Dad’s. This’ll make for some interesting lore opportunities! Got him from AntiFerret’s Lair for 200g! He’s got rather nice colours too (hngh purple and blue is my JAM) so I’m not mad about the price tag ^_^
103rd Child of Mara
4th/8th Generation descendant of the Gatekeeper
Naomi > Willow > Mara > Me!
Naomi > Willow > Fia > Ammutseba > Hastur > Cypir > Exodus > Me!

It seems as though our Anomaly has found a friend. By all definition neither of them should exist. Yet, like so many other strange and marvellous creatures, they stand before me in the flesh, regarding me in a mutual and unreadable silence. Exodia told me their energies resonate in a similar, powerful fashion. They seem at peace in each other’s presence. I like to imagine that they have their own language based on body movement.
This one is the smaller of the two. Dare I say he’s also more noticeable. Instead of a smooth transition into obscurity he tends to jerk violently in and out of existence. As if he were being disassembled and reassembled by some unseen technological force. Technetium calls it ‘glitching’ but in all my years I’ve never known a dragon to ‘glitch’ before. If he is truely a dragon at all. NightVale is at least partially draconian, we all saw her egg hatch. But this one...no, this one I’m not so sure about. He seems too vague, a mere shell of something that could be a dragon but isn’t quite. If you look into his eyes too long, something dark and twisted peers back. It’s rather unsettling, like looking at a machine with a soul trapped inside it. In fact, he reminds me of an old legend about a certain other ‘Fae-Like’ being that shouldn’t exist. I’ve decided to name this hypothetical dragon 'DarkMatter’ as a reminder even so. Non-draconian beings certainly exist, I’ve seen them. A few live in this very Lair. I’d love to test DarkMatter, to peer inside his brain and learn what makes him glitch. What makes him so...off-putting to look at. But alas, I’m no scientist. Nor am I inclined to put anyone else at risk should DarkMatter get out of hand. If he truely is a non-draconian, I hope he has the goodwill to live among us peacefully. ...Sometimes,when I’m alone in my nest, Eridium brings me dreams about DarkMatter. In some, he is the ferry-man, come to lead those who have left the living into the next life. He drags their spirits skyward out of the dirt with a gentle but firm hand, for time waits for no dragon. In others, he clings to the life force of those bound for the Gladekeeper, following them through their unconscious dreams like a spectre. He flickers on the edges of their vision in waking life, and,, when it is time for them to go, it is DarkMatter who takes their hand and ascends with them... ~ From the desk of Ceres |

@Skydust what a pretty boy!
Some lore from his perspective ^^
I remember when I was young. When I had first hatched. Well... "hatched" is the wrong term, it's a habit to call it that because other dragons do. I came from above, from the heavens. From the stars. I remember looking up at the night sky and feeling a connection with those stars before I even had words to describe it. I lived, for a time. And then I didn't.
I didn't know how to eat, and thus I died that first day. But it seemed that some higher power didn't want me gone just yet. I came back to life with a forceful spasm back into reality. It hurt. A lot. But I was alive. Somehow.
I died several times, each time the "resets" became more violent and more frequent. I lived for nearly a month like this before I was found by some other dragons. They taught me how to eat, how to speak, how to live. I never could get that language part down though. It was so hard. Now, they call it "glitching," they don't understand it and neither do I. It happens even when I am well alive now. It still hurts.

- Ah, DarkMatter… one would almost expect him to have an affinity for arcane materials, and certainly even the most powerful of magical artifacts seem to be oddly affected (at times, almost powerless) in his presence. However, he also has been seen very curiously studying the lairs and research spaces of some of the few botanists he’s interacted with. Something about the plants draws his attention, it seems. I suppose to a creature born of deep space, the phenomenon known as life must have a draw all its own… most familiars, however, stay far away from him, save for those animated by magic alone.
- It is said that deep space plays a music all of its own, a song generated by the movements of the stars and galaxies, unheard to most living things. One could suppose DarkMatter could hear it, though - so perhaps it is no surprise that he can play the harp like an angel. What a wonder, to hear it echoing through the corridors.
- It’s difficult to keep tabs on this dragon. Sometimes, he seems to flicker out of existence before your very eyes, and I suspect he can move faster than he’s proven thus far. However, most times he seems content to follow others, listening, in his own way, to their chatter. What perspective he could give to history...

Who is Naomi?
The Glitch Queen
Messages and items purchased from AH used to be delivered to your inbox by one of three NPC courier dragons. But on January 25th, 2016, the courier dragons were all replaced by this Triple Basic White/Azure/Sky Fae named Naomi. Naomi's clan was found to be clan number 0, housing over 15 million dragons. All of the exalted dragons on FR at that time. Naomi herself was listed in Dragon Search as exalted.
It is theorized that Naomi was a user account taken over by the admins to house the site's exalted dragons, but no one knows exactly why this account was suddenly visible or why Naomi took over the AH that day. This bug was, of course, fixed, and now Naomi lives in an empty lair.
Naomi did, however have a mate, Coal. It was found during this event that Naomi and Coal had one surviving offspring, Willow, who was sold in an auction for an equivalent of over $2000! Willow's owner auctioned off only a small number of her offspring, and it is from them that Naomi descendants are bred with the goal of keeping the Glitch Queen's lineage alive.
The original bug report thread can be found here.
Additional resources can be found at Naomi Breeders, Inc. and at The Naomi Project (Rebooted).

Exalting DarkMatter to the service of the Gladekeeper will remove them from your lair forever. They will leave behind a small sum of riches that they have accumulated. This action is irreversible.
