By most people's metrics Cake is a deer herder (not entirely accurate as she also keeps caribou, elk and cerede/unicorns for fun, breeding, and riding purposes) and a heck of a mess. If she's not out with her animals you can sometimes find her passed out in the hay next a critter, passed out by her desk, or sitting next to Booker as they stare off into space.

She's not entirely good at taking care of herself despite being able to take care of animals just fine, and Morley's gotten used to her arriving at his cart, promising to pay him back soon if she could just have some dim sum? Please? Pretty please Morley I'm dying (this is a joke and it isn't- her wet hacking cough often produces a pink/red slime, and she's known since she was a child what that means).

But there's a few that know that Cake is actually a hell of a chronomancer (that is, a time manipulation mage)- something you might be clued into thanks to all the various clocks on her walls and the ones she's always carrying. They're in perfect step though sometimes you'll see her pause and listen to the ticking, holding a smaller one up to her ear and confirming with another.

You'd think maybe she's keeping them precise. Maybe it's just one of the few things she can manage to keep orderly, but others aren't so sure. The look she has on her face when she does it is not so much that of one fussy with precision, but of a person looking to the tall grass in a field and seeing movement.
