Tapir -> Jaguar
Uh-oh, looks like this hopeful author wandered a little too far from their home lair (452562, Hyzenthlaay), and now they’re off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt them, we'd really appreciate it if you instead could just return them to their original home via the Crossroads, send them off in the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread (warning, you will get another traveler in return if you do this), or if you don’t want another traveler in return, this rest hub. You can also adopt them permanently if you don’t want them leaving your lair - just contact Hyzenthlaay and let her know (it’s good for her notes)!
Many people have worked very hard on this traveling dragon, and exalting them would be an absolute shame. Please don’t do it!

If Veneration’s existence is an ode to the power that is love, Thrall’s speaks to the sickness that is pining. It seems that at every turn, Thrall finds himself helplessly mesmerized by yet another derg, from the smallest Fae to the most imposing Imperial - an experience his best friend, Veneration, jokingly refers to as en-thrallment. If this derg’s heart was ever not bleeding, one might need to question if he were even alive.
Actualized romance seems out of the question for this Pearlcatcher. His few successful ventures in becoming romantically involved with another dergs always spin out of control into some sort of fantastic catastrophe, the stuff of which often becomes a local legend within whatever clan Thrall finds himself tailing in order to woo a member of. There was the time his attempt at a one-week anniversary present accidentally crashed the entirety of the Sea of a Thousand Current’s sand dollar economy for a day. Or when he managed to set fire to the Gladekeeper’s inner realm trying to arrange a candlelit dinner. Still, these are just minor setbacks, right? Statistically speaking, eventually something won’t blow up in his face. And he’s scrounging Sornieth for that “something”.
It is with some surprise that Thrall has never found himself in love with Veneration. True, the concept of a best-friend-to-lover is one that he frequently explores within his lovestruck poetry and tearful lyrics, but to him Veneration exists very much outside of his realm of romantic love - making it somewhat ironic that Veneration considers him the only derg she’s ever experienced her purest form of romance with...but isn’t Thrall’s life one of ironies, anyhow?
Much like his friend, Thrall makes his living through the written word, his stories of failed romance and unrequited love jerking the heartstrings of dergs across Sornieth. His steamier tales reside in the libraries of adult dergs, far away from the prying claws of hatchlings.
His permanent home is within Mavenlark as an artisan of the Legacy Parlor. He hopes to be remembered in history alongside his eventual partner, and not as the derg who spent his life yearning for what he couldn't have.

The first stop for Thrall proved to be something.. interesting, to say the least - he was immediately given a few items that'd help him in his travels. Additionally, a dragon known as Wylde fell in love with him. Thrall didn't want to fall in love initially, but he later learned that Wylde was a librarian and author.
After he and Wylde had three hatchlings, they no longer felt the same for each other. Thrall flew off afterwards, knowing that romance probably wasn't for him after all.

After his romantic catastrophe at his previous clan, Thrall resolved to keep his eyes on the prize at Clan Saibhreas. He just wanted to learn more about the rag tag group of dragons he met along his travels. He didn't want to get too entangled in any clan drama. Seems easy, right?
Well, he said that when he arrived... but then he met Vanilla, a peaceful and kind Tundra. She had come to Clan Saibhreas to lend them her healing talents. (They needed it -- seriously, he'd never met such clumsy dragons.) Before he even realized it, he was falling once more for a dragon he could never commit to. Vanilla was sweet, and he could tell she desired a long term mate. That was not in the cards for him... but he couldn't resist the temptation to woo her. Perhaps he would change! Perhaps they would run away together! Only time would tell, and he had plenty of it. He'd stay here for a while, see what romance came of his union with her. Even if it didn't work out, he reasoned -- he could write a hell of a ballad about it.
