Healing

______ Sea Stone by all accounts had a happy childhood. His father was a well loved researcher, crippled from previous battles gone wrong and his mother was a feared warrior, the likes of which were rare and slave owners would pay exorbitant amounts to get their filhty claws on one. So it suited Sea Stone's former clan very well that they were very well hidden, but like a camouflaged tank, ready to attack.

______ But then, as it always goes, the slave traders discovered the clan, for they had been searching near and far for this highly specialised group of dragons. And the slave traders snatched the babies, stole Sea Stone's genius father and a spear aimed too far, struck the loved warrior hard. Sea Stone escaped with barely his life and no innocence left for him, half dragging his dying mother behind him. He stumbled, half dead, injured, upon another clan and seeing the sorry state he and his mom was in, listened to the hatchling's awful story and agreed to take him in. Despite their best efforts, Sea Stone's mother's body gave up on her. From then it was a fight. A fight to become the best healer the clan would ever see. To make his father proud, wherever he was. To keep another happy hatchling's mother from dying in front of them, knowing there was no hope.
